The very well kept house is set in a wonderful garden with trees and flowers and it is close to the Historic Appia Antica Road. The apartments are furnished in a highly creative way by the ingenuity of Mrs. D'Atri. The landlords are really friendly and kind. They make you feel welcomed at home. Mr. D'Atri has a huge knowledge of the history of the places of the Ancient Rome that comes from his true passion for his home town and which he is very happy to share with his guests.
This review is a testament to an enduring friendship that started when I was planning for my first trip to Italy almost 4 years ago. I started conversing with Maurizio regarding accommodations at the Appia Antica. While it didn't fit into our plans to stay there, we ended up spending the most amazing afternoon with Maurizio and another guest. We were treated to an awe-inspiring drive around Rome's southern region. Maurizio's extensive knowledge of the area's history is probably beyond compare. His easy friendly manner made it our most enjoyable afternoon in Rome. After we were treated to a tour of the Appia Antica which is beautiful, serene and private. What we left with was a friendship that endures over the years and across the ocean. While life in general and now our tragic world epidemic has delayed a return visit, we look forward to someday returning to share a glass of wine in the tranquil gardens with our Appia Antica friends. In the meantime, we continue to keep in touch and I wish them safety and good health during this very difficult time.…
Me and my family were always dreaming to see Rome. When we really decided to visit this wonderful city, we chose to stay in Appia Antica Resort. And it was a great choice! First of all, Apia Antica Resort is located in a very quiet and peaceful place, this means that you won't have any problems with cars from the street and you can have a very nice sleep. And now about the apartment. They are really big and the layout there is very comfortable. Inside the apartment you can find every thing you could need while you are living there (I mean plates, cutlery, cups, etc) and if something is missing you can always ask for it. The apartment are always clean which I thing is one of the most important things. And the icing on the cake were the owners of this wonderful place! They helped us to cook some dishes and told us about best places we could visit in Rome. And when we knew each other better they even invited us for a dinner. And what a dinner it was! Staying in Appia Antica Resort was really a great pleasure and if we will visit Rome again (I really hope so) we will defiantly choose these apartment again!…
The location is what drew me here, in the heart of the lovely Via Appia Park. And then the apartment was amazingly beautiful - there's nothing else comparable nearby. The owners and staff were super-friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the area. There are countless wonderful walks nearby and they know all of them! I will be back for sure.
This was our first trip to Rome. We were going away for a special trip to celebrate valentines day and my girlfriends birthday. When we arrived at the apartment, we were given a very warm welcome with such positive hospitality. We were extremely pleased with the Beautiful apartment and resort, giving such a home away from home feeling with an authentic and modern Italian twist. Once we settled in, we were given an introductory talk regarding information about the local area and Rome itself including ; Public transport, best places to eat, hotspots to visit, shops and historical attractions etc. They couldn’t have been more helpful and really helped to put us as ease being first timers in Rome. As mentioned it was my girlfriends birthday and they helped me organise a special treat for her to arrive to which included a gorgeous cake with flowers and processo. Overall, it was an amazing experience made even better by the overwhelming hospitality that was provided by the owner and staff who we can’t thank enough. Would highly recommend to anyone and looking forward to visiting again.…
