We stayed here for one night in Rome and it was very basic, but the price reflects that. The service was incredible and we loved the staff who helped hire a very early morning taxi to the airport. The included breakfast was just a packaged danish and instant coffee with a kettle. The room was clean and a decent size,...

We stayed there 2 nights post cruise. Very convenient location. Clean and with good supply of towels. We were provided 2 bottles of water and juice everyday. Breakfast is only coffee with plain croissant. The bed is a sofa bed therefore it is not level at all and it made lots of noise with any movement. We didn't get a...

We enjoyed our stay here. Pasquale the owner is great, very friendly. Clean, spacious room. Very conveniently located a few blocks from Termini station. Don't rely on the breakfast though, its just a pre-packaged croissant. Some street noise depending which side your room is on.

My wife and I love Rome, so when we had a chance to take an extended layover on a flight from Athens to Miami we took full advantage. With only 22 hours in Rome, we needed somewhere convenient to Rome Termini, our favorite restaurants, and offered good value for the price. We found it all here. A quick train ride...

Really kind and helpful staff. Thanks, Pasquale. Rooms clean & tidy. There's also some sort of a hydro-massage system in the shower which may be small but it's all you need. The location is a main advantage as it's only a 5-minute walk away from the main train/bus station, Termini. The price was relatively low for such a central spot...

I think the best way to write this review is by pros and cons. Pros: - The room is in a very convenient location to Termini station. - Our room was made up daily. - The owner/manager did wait for us to arrive, after our train/journey was delayed by 8 hours. - Free bottled water is provided daily. Cons: -...

Arrived at 745 pm, advised that we would arrive before 8pm. No one at reception for 2 hours. Reservation was sitting on desk with credit card number visible, very bad. Manager never appeared to apologize or repair situation, we were blamed by cleaning girl of not calling. Reception phone not operational. This place is not managed nor run properly, seems...

So, like the rest, there was a tax that seemed unexplained. But, at least we were ready for it. The shower was really small. Air conditioning worked great. We had first room to the left as you walk in. Good location close to train station. When we were there, no one else was around. A fine place to stay for...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
