A clean and simple hotel close to downtown. I got a single room for 2 nights. A very small room with a single bed and bathroom. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast area is small, but decent. Cheap price, but wifi connection could be better. My room was right by the reception lobby and I...

Just returned home from a one week stay in the Hotel Garda. Located in North of the city near the Borghese Park so quite hilly on your return from city centre. Our room was a good size but very basic with a wardrobe but no drawers. Bathroom again a good size but the shower was so small you could hardly...

Stayed at the Hotel Garda for 2 nights in May 2016. The hotel is basic but clean. The hotel shares a building with other businesses and is located on the 4th and 5th floor. Access to the 4th floor (reception) is via lift or stairs. Friendly and functional reception and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are...

My room was so small that I could not even open my suitcase up. The shower went from ice cold to hot back to ice cold back to burning hot. So hot in-fact it burnt my arm as i was trying franticly to get out. This could put someone in hospital. Breakfast was only if you could get in. Hotel...

I was surprised of how close this hotel was to almost every place I wanted to see in Rome! You have the Spanish Steps 3 minutes away from the hotel by foot. Fontana di Trevi is also very close. It is a 10-15 min walk from Termini, the central station. So there's actually no need for a taxi! Loves the...

I stayed here for 1 night in March 2016. The room was a decent size (not too big, not too small) and was clean. Some of the detail needed work (a broken handle on the hair dryer which was sellotaped over) and the shower ran hot or cold but rarely warm. The hotel is in a very good location close...

Hotel Garda is a perfect spot for short vacations, or business trips. It is located close to Spanish steps, Piazza Barberini, Via Veneto, and also to some garages (if you have to park a car). The staff is always professional, nice and available to accomodate any need. The rooms are clean, neat, with TV, WIFI, mini bar, safe. A simple...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
