This place was great for us and the owner was very kind. It is 3 short blocks from Termini station and is an excellent location as a hub for your travels. The room was newly renovated, clean and actually quite large. We had an ensuing bathroom that was also a fair size and clean. There was air conditioning that we...

Since planning our stay a few months ago, Isabella has been responsive and helpful. We booked a few months ago and had some specific requests. Isabella emailed promptly and confirmed that she would be happy to accommodate us. Communication was easy - Isabella is fluently multilingual. I don't know how many languages she speaks, but her English is flawless. The...

The owner Isabella is the most gracious host. She provided guidance to the city, to atrractions, to travel outside of Rome. She provided a great breakfast in our room every morning, even went out of her way to find croissants for us. The B&B is located 200 mts from the Termini station, close to the Metro and to many Rome...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the main train station and checking in was effortless. Our room was lovely and clean. We wanted to walk around Rome to see the main sites and the location was perfect for this; 20 mins to main areas, 45 mins to the Vatican....

We had a lovely stay here! The hotel is situated within 5 minutes walk from the main train station of Rome. The hotel is accessible by an elevator and there is an intercom outside the main door. The room was big compared to my other hotel in Rome and the furniture was tasteful. The breakfast is simple but delicious -...

We can't say enough about Isabella. She is a wonderful host. We had a reservation for five nights in May 2016. The hotel is a short walk to the main train station which allowed us to travel to other parts of the city with ease. We used the metro to go to the Vatican without any problems. The hotel is...

I accidentally found this place online years ago and then went again recently. The owner, Isabella, is a delightful, honest, organized, smart lady who does an excellent job to provide breakfast whenever we wanted. Free wi-fi. Her attention to detail made our stay quite delightful. The location has many nice restaurants and only a 5 min walk from Termini station....

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
