First we were shown to a room in an adjacent building/structure near the gate, the hotel staff told us that was the only available room. I could feel the humidity when I stepped in, the ceiling was very low, had one small window deadly locked, there were mosquitos and no WIFI signal. I was shocked and argued that that was...

I am sorry to know the room you booked through the web agency didn't meet your expectations. I am surprised though, you think we assign room depending on the age of our client and not on the room category booked. I confirm that some rooms have a balcony but, of course, are sold at a higher price than the standard...

My husband and I stayed at the Aventino during our 4 day visit in Rome. This hotel is away from the crowds but yet close to the Circus Maximo and Ancient Rome, including the Colisseum and Palatinp Museum (closed until 16 September), still lots to see!! The hotel room is cosy and decorated to match the area; full of stylish...

There are not enough good things I can say about this hotel. It may be one of my favorite hotels on the planet. The location is unbeatable: tranquil, central, and away from the masses; the rooms are splendid and the staff is exceptionally friendly. The internet works well in the rooms and the breakfast is surprisingly good.

This is not a Marriott. It's a small private 3-star hotel, and it's in a quiet untrampled area of Rome. The rooms are beautifully appointed, if not the largest you'll find. Breakfast is typical, and the common areas are friendly. It's exactly what you'd expect from an old villa converted to a hotel. For the price we paid, it was...

Hotel is located in quiet area on the hill with villas. Price is reasonable; I paid less the 100 Eur for room which very good price is given the fact that the location is in center of Rome. Very nice family atmosphere, staff acts like a family to each other and towards the clients. Only one comment to the quality...

A very good service, good breakfast, very elegant rooms( too elegant for this price) ,an elegant enviroment (for example a wonderful view of Rome from the Orange Garden- the only place in Rome where oranges grow, Villa Malta whose gate has a whole through which Saint Peter's Basilica can be seen-very nice especially at night; a lot of tourists come...

My friends and I were lucky enough to have the opportunity of staying at Hotel Aventino last May. The hotel had been recommended to us by one of my friends clients, and it lived up to it's reputation in every respect . The hotel is located in a nice quiet neighborhood (the Aventine Hill) and it was great to return...

We chose this hotel for our 2-night stay in Rome based on other reviews. They were all positive ones, as will be this one. The hotel is adorable and much like a boutique hotel. The staff is exceptionally helpful, giving us maps to find restaurants and parks. They called the touring company for a pick up for our 1-day tour...

Staying in Aventine

Neighbourhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
