We booked Cressy accidently when we were making arrangements for our trip to Rome. I was looking for accommodations close to Termini and Cressy showed up in my search... Only one double room left!!! Price was alright so I decided to "Reserve' a room at Cressy for just in case, while I planned to looked further. As technologically challenged as...

Great little place 5min walk from Termini train station. Hotel owner friendly and helpful. 10min walk down to town centre and around 20mins to Colosseum. Nice neighborhood felt very safe even walking home at night. Be careful in Termini station for pick pocketers don't get help from anyone unless in uniform. Other than those people great place and great experience.

Clean rooms, shared bathroom amongst all guests can be crowded. Wifi in lobby area. I found staff friendly however some guests I shared a room with found one male staff member a little over friendly. Able to leave luggage after checkout for small fee, I think 2 euros.

The only reason I didn't give this 1 star is because the price and location were good. It's only a 5-10 min walk to termini, the main train station in Rome. The price was only 25 euros/night. Aside from these things, everything else was terrible. I should definitely have stayed elsewhere. I arrived at 1 in the morning, due to...

Cressy was 5-7 minutes walk to Termini - centre underground station so it was very easy to travel: from/to airport and around the City. There is a bus (maybe 492) in front of the hotel took around 15 minutes from there to Trevi Fontana/ Spanish steps. Others attraction such as Colloseum, etc.. We used metro from Termini. The hotel owner...

Ok firstly, its not a hotel, it is a hostel... But besides from that, for a basic stay it is fine. We stayed there 4 nights in a double room and everything was clean and tidy. We had no disturbance from other guests or indeed outside. The bathrooms were as clean as people left them, the only thing, the shower...

After a worried 30 minutes trying to work out where the hotel was (Roma streets are tricky), we arrived and buzzed in to the Cressy hotel on the 5th floor. ( the hotel is on the same road as the Termini station, look for the small sign on building) The room had no TV but fine as we don't speak...

I ll be citing briefly its advantages and disadvantages: Advantages: -GREAT LOCATION: The hostel is 5 mins away (walking) from train station (termini) . -The hostel is 20 mins away (walking) from the Colosseum, and many other touristic sites. -The staff is so nice and helpful. The lady working there provided us...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
