Positives first: People at the reception are extremely nice and helpful. The hotel is in the city centre at walking distance to major attractions, but located on a small and cozy side street not affected by the traffic noise. Our room was on the ground floor close to the wifi. Good and uninterrupted internet connection saved our lives when we...

The hotel is on a quiet street, not far at all from all the sights and attractions of central Rome. The room was small, but adequate for the 2 nights which e spent in it. The bathroom was clean, and there was all the amenities you would expect. However the "air conditioning" left a lot to the imagination. At night...

Clean room, about a mile from spanish steps, metro only 3 min up road, great restaurant across way. The air con worked great and staff were helpfull. One issue, only one socket in the room which was being used by tv and fridge but being the bright spark I am just unplugged the tv and presto.

OMG!!!! So we check in to the hotel for 4 nights which has a good location but then we get to our room! Very small, dated and unclean. We sleep in the room for 3 nights sweating terribly due to the air conditioning not working until they moved us to another room for our final night. I then woke up...

Regarding the air condition, we have changed your room in the same day that you have told us about the problem, so we could call the technician to see if there was some problem and not create hardships to you. Dear Costumer, Thanks for your review. As you said, our location is the key: you can reach the most important places of the city just walking! For what concerns the air conditioning maybe it was not operating yet when you where here. Our hotel is a miniature, the spaces are not that big but in the rooms there is all...

Madalena the desk clerk, was excellent at helping us with tours & advice on our stay at this older small hotel in the heart of Rome. Very good value compared to other hotels in Rome. The morning expresso coffee was excellent along with the tray served breafast of traditional italian snack type food. Would recommend this location to all budget...

All booking was done very easily online. Closer to check in date, a telephone call had very good response and a pickup easily arranged from the international airport (almost the same cost as the standard cab). Local guidance was excellent. The only cons are the wifi access(only in the lobby) and the limited breakfast menu. However the location compensated.

The hotel is located in a really great location in the heart of Rome. The rooms, are very good and they are cleaned every day. We book a pick-up from/to the airport, and it was a really good offer and in general, the prices were very reasonable. The only disavantage was the breakfast. It was good, but I think that...

Terrible entrance...terrible lobby...terrible reception...terible rooms..very narrow coridors...very small rooms....about 12 steps to enter the hotel...you have carry to your heavy luggage yourself on to the steps to get inside the hotel....

Dear Mr Kamran, we are very sorry for the comment you left. Certainly when you booked, you have not seen the photos of the hotel that show exactly how actually it is. Just for your information.... the stairs at the entrance are not 12 as you write, but 5 and I can assure you that it is NOT absolutely impossible...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
