The bed was a bit hard, and you needed to put your device directly in line with the door to get the wifi (it is an old building with thick walls), but overall we had a great stay. the owners were very helpful with... Small, family run hotel. Extremely accommodating, helpful, and friendly. Grandma makes an excellent hot breakfast buffet. The rooms are lovely. Good location in central Rome. We plan to stay here again next year!

I was working near Fiumicino airport but for the weekend decided to see the city sights. I found this wonderful family run hotel on line and it is a delight. A modest but well appointed hotel with genuinely helpful owners. From a smiling friendly welcome, Giuseppe's brilliant "tour guide information" and his mothers fantastic home cooked simple but delicious breakfasts,... More

My daughter and I stayed here during our 3 day trip to Rome. The owners are very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Giving directions, maps, tips on where to eat, visit, which days were the best. And the breakfast had variety to choose from before you start your day.

Recommended by a friend, the family owned Hotel Golden was a gem for our three nights in Rome. Kind and attentive correspondence before we arrived...being warmly met by Maria Theresa, Guiseppe's ever gracious assistance to recommending restaurants and gelato, giving directions and arranging for our drive to the airport...simple but well appointed rooms...Theresa's remarkable breakfasts were lovingly prepared and presented,... The hotel was recommended to us by friends.....and they are right. It is a charming and friendly, the rooms are nicely appointed and is in a great location within walking distance of the Villa Borghese, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and are always happy to help with "what to see" and especially "where to... More

We stayed 3 nights and we were made to feel so welcome. A wonderful family run hotel where everyone helps out and great communication between the team. Nothing was too much trouble. Would certainly book again if we return to Rome.

Very comfortable, clean rooms, excellent home made buffet breakfast with a great variety of egg, meat and dairy options, as well as sweet rolls and cakes, run by an English speaking family that is very friendly and helpful, in a neighborhood with close proximity to Villa Borghese Park, embassies, the Spanish Steps, and good nearby restaurants.

What a warm welcome I received, not only on arrival but every time I returned 'home' to Hotel Golden over 4 night stay. Each member of the family offered kindness, warmth and really great advice about things to see, places to eat and transportation. Breakfast was big and delicious and I left the hotel every morning with a full stomach... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
