We 'found' Hotel Golden five years ago and will never go anywhere else while staying in Rome. We've stayed four times and it always feel like home to us. Giuseppe and family always welcome us with open arms and have wonderful new recommendations every time we stay. Mamma Teresa makes the most delicious breakfasts with a variety of foods (fresh...

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel is located in a safe neighborhood, one block off of Via Veneto, near the US Embassy. We received a warm welcome from Teresa and Giuseppe was most helpful with restaurant reservations. Borghese Gardens are nearby and there is a gelateria next door. The room was ok, a little small...

I travelled to Rome with my mother and daughter for a special trip in May. I read the reviews for Hotel Golden and decided to book since the reviews were good. Well, the reviews did not do this hotel justice. It exceeded my expectations.. The family run hotel prides itself on great and friendly service. They are a family that...

The benefit of staying at a small hotel is the personal touch. Giuseppe and Marco are fabulous! They could not have more helpful or friendlier. Breakfasts were excellent and varied. Even met mama. The Romanian girl, sorry I don't know her name, always had a smile and was so efficient. This hotel is located near Via Veneto and is near...

Loved this hotel-family run and very friendly-could not do more to help us-we were welcomed warmly -they arranged for a car from the airport and also arranged for our transfer to the Rome cruise port-we had a lovely dinner at a recommended restaurant-thanks for everything!

We spent 2 nights at the Hotel Golden in early May pre-cruise. Giuseppe, Marco and the rest of the family were great and we really enjoyed Mama's breakfast. Very small family run hotel close to everything! Just steps from the Borghese Park and Via Venito, and close to many restaurants which is convenient if you come back to the hotel...

Into the start of the fourth week of our European honeymoon and we spent three nights at the Hotel Golden Rome. The hotel is a small, family run business so it's like staying in someone's home rather than a hotel. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and given a map showing all the big attractions and how to get there,...

Every point of contact for this hotel was top notch. Great price, friendly, helpful, free breakfast, and they made my whole stay a great one. They facilitated a pick-up from the airport which was well-worth it. We were given a map with all the sites and directions on how to navigate the city. Easy to walk many places from here,...

Our only mistake with the Hotel Golden was not staying longer. After our two nights, we really wished we had booked more nights in Rome...what a wonderful place run by a wonderful family. The rooms had a very European charm, and was located in a wonderful part of the city, near to restaurants, and the original 2,300 year old Roman...

Hotel Golden is a really nice, family-run, small 17 room hotel just south of the Villa Borghese and east of the Via Veneto. It is located in a quiet neighborhood that is readily accessible to major sites in Rome by foot. Marco and his family are very proud of their hotel and the service provided and rightly so. The rooms...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
