We went to the address....it was nothing like the great review.s...didn't even look like the place in the pictures.....like maybe they took someone else pictures and reviews and made their own web page! This is not the place that the reviews show with all the antique's and memorabilia, Really it looked like a flop house.... we got there late and...

We enjoyed our they at the B&B very much! The location is perfect, just 2 min to the Metro station and 10 min to Termini station. There are two really nice and cozy guest rooms and one shared bathroom in a seperate hallway of the owner's flat. The bathroom has a big shower and was allways clear. Also our room...

The location was fantastic. Just a 5 minutes walk from the nearest metro station and the city bus stops right in front of the door. There is a grocery shop opposite the hostel and a few places to have a good meal. The room was located on the 5th floor. Thus we enjoyed the peace and quiet during our stay....

My daughter and I spent three long, hot, smoke-filled, noisy nights at the Vacanze Romane. The older couple are not very friendly. The woman does not speak English; the man seems to speak some English, but is grumpy most of the time. Their son was nice. He spoke good English and was there often. The woman smokes and the smoke...

I love italian people in general, but the owners of this place are really rude and unkind. This was not my first time in Italy but I never stayed so bad before. Sure the room was near to the centre and close to underground station but the game isn't worth the candle anyway. Asolutely not recommended, stay away!!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
