We had a great stay at the Welcome Piram Hotel. The lobby and bar is lovely. Bar is very expensive, €3.50 for an espresso and €13 for glass of wine. By far the most expensive we experienced in Rome. It was a pity as we would have stayed around the hotel a bit more in the evenings. Rooms were clean...

Stayed here for 3 nights for my partners birthday and was not disappointed. Literally across the road from the main train and bus station. We took a train from the airport to the hotel for €28, but took the bus back for €12. Room was clean and had everything you needed. Yes the bar was expensive but what hotel bar...

The hotel is lovely, rooms are clean and staff are friendly. Bar is pricey. Very convenient for all the sights and near bus terminal for hop on/ off tours. Didn't have breakfast, went to a lovely cafe on the corner where they serve paninis, croissants, toast or pizzas at any time which are delicious and cheap as chips.

Spent 3 nights here with friends visiting the city and attending the Wales 6 nations rugby match and found this hotel to be just great. It's in a great location 5 mins by foot from the Rome Termini (Central Station) and good location to explore the sights of Rome. 15 min walk to the Colosseum, Trevi fountain and Spanish steps...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
