I will get the negative points in first : - bathroom in our room smelt funny, like urine and poor plumbing. No matter how much we aired it. - The bar staff encourage you to sit anywhere in the bar when ordering a drink, once the bill arrives it specifies that sitting near the piano costs a few € more....

The location of this hotel is its main selling point. It is a 5 minute walk from Termini and around a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Roman Forum and Colosseum and you can reach all other points of interest in Rome such as the Trevi fountain on foot (except the Vatican where you need to take Metro Line...

Staff was great. 15 minutes walk to the Trevi Fountain. Our room was excellent and cozy and the concierge placed our luggage In Our room when it was done getting cleaned and we were out exploring. There is breakfast below where a restaurant resides, where I believe breakfast is also offered.

Beautiful hotel! Very friendly service, Great buffet. Very nice restaurant. The location worked out well for our first visit to Rome. Just a couple blocks from the train station and within walking distance of most of the major sites we wanted to see. Front desk, bellman and restaurant staff were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small in comparison...

We stayed here mid December for a week and found the hotel clean and the reception staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast is over priced even for Rome so i would recommend skipping that but the location is very good, only a couple of minutes away from the termini station. There is a cocktail bar in the lobby which is...

We spent three nights at Welcome Piram, and left thinking the hotel was probably good 20 years ago. Room was adequate, but cleanliness was less than desirable. I found a dirty sock sticking out from the corner of my bed, kicked it out for the hotel staff to clear but it was there when i left! There were also strands...

The hotel itself is very nice with a 'classic' feel. The room was clean, the staff were very helpful and pleasant, and it is located in a good location near the train station / airport bus stop. The major downside was the noise late at night. From our room on the first floor, we could hear the Piano Bar music...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
