The thing to remember when staying in Rome and especially in this B&B, is that Rome was built thousands of years ago. That being said, this B&B is literally across the street from the Vatican Museum entrance. This is a good and bad thing. It puts you right out into the best location for walking and seeing all that Rome...

The owner tried to be nice and helpful, but the place is awful! You can spoil your holidays in beautiful Rome if you stay at this B&B! It wasn't repaired for last 50 years I guess. The walls are so dirty like our room was used as a storage place before (see pics!). I am surprised that someone wrote on...

Review of Vatican Museum B&B Viale Vaticano, 97 Rome Date of Stay: 10 Sept 2011 Two Couples Unless substantial physical and security upgrades are made to this property, I can not recommend it to anyone. The last three days of our European vacation were ruined by staying there. We ended up hot sweaty sleep deprived zombies. I should have been...

Great little B&B in a great location. Directly across the road from the Vatican museum which makes it a little noisy if you are in the front room but that is the only negative. Great safe place to walk around day or night with a yummy little Gelato shop just down the stairs very close by. Great food short walk...

My husband and I stayed at this B&B. Rudy was very helpful. Our suitcase did not arrive with our flight. Since we did not speak Italian, we had a difficult time at the airport. We had some paper work done.. we gave it to Rudy (B&B owner) and he did the follow. Two days later our suitcase arrived. B&B is...

Pros: 1. Great location -- literally across the street from the Vatican museums and 5-minute walk from St. Peter's; subway within a 10-15 minute walk, and a major bus terminal nearby with buses going to all the main attractions in Rome. 2. Wonderful hosts Rudy and Claudia -- they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable...

My husband and I stayed at the RomAntica in the middle of May. We had been traveling France and Italy for two weeks and were quite beat when we reached Rome. Claudia and Rudi were very welcoming and very helpful. They let us know that we could come and go as we pleased. Showed us the small kitchen area that...

Now I know why this hotel is highly recommended by users...A few steps from Roma Termini, very good room, recently renewed, very nice!!! Also: you can get most of what you need in this area (market, money exchange, and even a mall in the Termini...). In summer, the air conditioning is really necessary. You can get that for an extra...

“Stay away from the front room. Scooter wiz bye the window 24/7.”

“We chose this Bread and Breakfast based on the reviews from several websites and we were shocked to see what awaited us. I wondered how many of the reviews were really from people who have stayed there. Stick to positive reviews from close friends who have been there. If you don't know anyone who has, then book a renowned hotel early through the Internet. In Rome bargain everything except at restaurants but check the bill twice. We got overcharged once. Always take everything positive an Italian says about Rome with a 'bowl' of salt. Have some guts when crossing the streets. Traffic lights generally have no meaning for pedestrians. They will stop literally a few inches before you when they know it is green for you to cross. Have fun, it is an experience.”

“Other hotels/BBs are a much better overall value and will make your vacation much more enjoyable experience”
  • One of the cracked floor tiles found in our room
  • A single small fan with irritating loud vibration was the only source of cooling in our hot humi
  • Rooms were small, dim and claustrophobic
