A 10 minute walk from Termini and easy to plan a walking route on Google Maps, I'd guess a taxi from Termini might cost around E5, We arrived around 9.15pm, check in was fast and we were given a map that was annotated with the main sights and suggested routes which was helpful. I'd emailed asking for a double room...

Rome was our final stop and my travel agent booked this hotel for me because she said it was close to the metro/train. Here are my reviews of the Hotel Camelia: Good - hotel location. The hotel was about 3-4 winding blocks, about 3/4 mile, from the train station. There were several train stations within walking distance to the hotel,...

My husband and I ventured to Italy for our 3rd wedding anniversary and spent 3 nights at this hotel. The hotel was smaller than expected but our room was exactly as pictured. Our room was quaint but clean. I actually inadvertently removed the shower door on our first night while trying to shower and luckily one of the staff members...

We stayed here for 3 nights on a family trip to Rome. The triple room we had was huge, and the double room was the perfect size. Beds are VERY firm. Hotel is very clean. Breakfast is great. Lots of variety and your choice of hot beverages in the morning... tea, coffee, cappuccino, hit chocolate... It's certainly not a fancy...

First of all hotel ambience is fine, so you wouldn't mind staying here. The location is superb, with supermarket (conad) just 50m away on one side (which is very helpful) and on another 50m a very good ice-cream shop(Romana was this shop's name). St. Peters square is at walking distance where you would find everything! Yes.. Like termini, bus stops,...

Dear Sir/Madame, Thank you for your kind review. We usually prepare something for our guests when they are celebrating. It looks like this time your agency hasn't informed us. Looking forward to your next stay in Rome. Best regards, Giuseppe

Booked the Hotel Camelia after searching through nearly every hotel in Rome! I don't regret it at all, it is a great little hotel - the staff are friendly, it is conveniently placed near to Termini station and within walking distance of all the major sites if you don't fancy the metro. Breakfast is included in the price of the...

Dear Sir/Madame, We kindly thank you for your review. We are renewing the wi-fi system. It is still working in the entire hotel and if it goes slow, you can contact the reception desk and they will reset the router. Actually all of our rooms have foreign language channels, but they after 901. The reception staff would be more than...

This hotel is in a very quiet zone, just a few blocks from Termini. The stuff is very friendly and helped us with all the information .Just a remark ...the vegetables are missing on breakfast and not so good internet , but it did not bother .

Dear Sir/Madame, thank you for your review. Our breakfast is continental, and our buffet has vast selection a different items. Sometimes we serve "rustici" with spinach. Our wi-fi is old and we are in the process of renewing it. The entire hotel is still covered and if you feel it is slowed down, you may contact the reception desk and...

A small hotel but thats what you get in this budget. Elaborative breakfast and free print out desk and Luggage room (which was really helpful as we could leave our luggage for 4 days). Thanks for upgrading us to Suite and it was definately a positive part of our Eurotrip.

This hotel is in a great central location--just a few blocks from Termini--so you can get around Rome easily from here. The staff was very welcoming and helpful and suggested fun places to visit and tours we could buy. The rooms were pretty utilitarian. Nothing fancy, but it was clean and sufficient for a place to crash.

Dear Sir/Madame, thank you for your review. All of our rooms follow the european size standards. In some countries, like the United States for example, a double room is made by two double beds. In Europe, a double room is just made by a double bed. The minimum size for a double bed is 14 mq. All of our double...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
