The hostel is quite busted looking and the toilets and showers are tiny, but the facilities are fine and the beds are comfy and there's a cute balcony (Full of scrap metal and plastic furniture but I tended to ignore that) which the rooms open out onto. There aren't any lockers and they kick you out of the rooms between...

I read some reviews before writing my own and I have to say some people have unrealistic expectations. This hostel is very good student, budget hostel. The best what you can get for this price. The staff members were very kind, they spoke very good English and the rooms bathrooms were clean as well. I felt like in a big...

Absolutely horrible place,The worst hostel I have stayed at. Booked a female dorm for 3 nights and there was a strange man walking around and using the kitchen and bathroom, you could also hear him spitting up phlegm in the toilet (not pleasant). There was only one bathroom between 10 people which meant a lot of waiting time. The place...

terrible customer service, we waited about 15 min to be let in when we arrived because there is almost never anyone at the desk, and even if they are they just let the buzzer ring. We arrived while reception was closed and there was a ton of people waiting in the tiny reception area. there was no air conditioning, only...

The staff is friendly, the room is great, the price is right and they spoke several languages quite well. The view was great from the balcony, we had everything we needed and were happy to stay at this hostel. We would definitely stay here again!

We came here in a group of 3 and stay for 4 nights. This place is a nightmare. Receptionist didn't look like he wants to work, and made us feel like we owe him ducking million dollar. 3 of us only got 1 key. Beds are all unstable. The rooms are noisy at night, because of the street right outside...

Two ducks hostel is close to Rome Termini so you can walk to get it if you go to that beautiful by train. They are also close to shops, but the area is not so nice if you are gonna go back to the hostel at night. Is a bit expensive for what they really offer and the services, small...

I stayed here 5 days. Pretty good for the cheap price that you pay. and it is also close to the main station and located central with close places to eat. The beds are ok and clean thats what they provided me. Staff are nice from Bangladesh. Toilets are not that good very small. Kitchen not good either but there...

This place was very hard to find and once we found it the receptionists were very unfriendly and ended up taking us to another building down the street. The "hostel" which has one bathroom/shower to share between 20 people, was dirty and hot with terrible ventilation. The only toilet was broken. We wanted to sit on the little balcony but...

First impression : When arrive, you have to climb like 200stairs to reach the reception. Some are very dusty and you don't know at this time where you are going in ! Reception : When you enter the reception, a nice young smiling guy welcomes you on a quite modern desk in a well sustained room that contrasts with the...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
