First i want to say how helpful and friend the staff (especially Sandra and Luigina) are -- they were very welcoming. As far as the hotel -- at this price point you can't beat it; Close to train and metro station so easy to get anywhere in the city. Rome was small but clean and comfortable. Only small downside is...

Budget friendly hotel located near the central station, and along a relatively busy street with quite a number of good restaurants. No lift, no air condition (just a fan in the room, which was not enough for us during summer), no water provided, one wifi password per person (which can only be used for one device). Toilet was really cramped...

We've stayed here twice and have enjoyed it both times. The location is great. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. It's only a five minute walk to the cathedral. There are places for breakfast right around the corner. Can't ask for much more!

We had a very nice stay. Room was clean and spacious enough. Breakfast was also very good, and the staff pretty helpful. The only negative is that the room overlooking the street was very very loud... probably due to a cafe/bar on the other side of the road. Sleep with earplugs... The shared bathroom wasnt alias too too clean, but...

Good things: close to Termini, the sheets on the bed were of very nice quality, and the price is right. Not so good: the rooms are extremely basic with only a wash basin and they haven't been updated in years. If you're looking for glamour, you won't find it anywhere at Hotel Cervia. Our room overlooked the street which has...

Price was fine ,very good location , room clean and ready at the time of check in, they didn't took long for just giving me the keys, it was kinda noisy at night but I guess it's because there's a cafe nearby

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
