Although the room and bathroom were quite small, the beds were very comfortable, the water was hot and everything was spotless. The folks at the front desk were so kind and helpful, even calling to arrange a tour of Rome for us. The hotel is on a fairly quiet street. There is a great little ristorante across the street which...

I have to disagree with the other reviewer. Myself and my boyfiend stayed here for 2 nights in October. I daresay it was very basic but I hadn't expected much more for the very reasonable price we paid to stay here. I wouldn't recommend staying here for more than 2 or 3 nights but since we spent very little time...

Ugh...do not stay here! We stayed here the night before we flew out, and I couldnt wait to leave it. Someone else booked this place online and we thought it would be decent for one night. It's one of those teeny little hotels that are just part of a bigger building on the east side of Termini. This is not...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
