I'm just back after visiting this lovely hotel. Good sized rooms, kept lovely and clean, with great staff. The location is perfect for exploring Rome and the price is amazing. I plan to use this hotel on my next visit and will be recommending to my family and friends.

Very simple room but very affordable. AC is extra. It's a very small quaint room with 2 beds. Large bathroom and a very nice common terrace for all the guests. Very safe and in a great location. Walking distance to almost everything.

My wife and I were looking for an affordable hotel near to the Vatican. This hotel is only ten minutes walk to the Vatican main entrance, and it takes about the same time to walk to St Peter's Square. Frequent local buses can take you to the Colosseum and other points of interest in about half an hour. The reception...

Not quite a rating of 4 but not a 3 either so take this as a 3.5. A great base for a very good price! About a 5 minute walk from both St. Peter's Basilica and Castel Sant'Angelo. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I'm not a fussy traveller all I want is a clean bed and I'm happy, which...

I have based my ratings and review on the understanding that I knowingly booked a 2 Star hotel at the cheaper end of the market. The Hotel is well run, maid service and daily towel change, bathroom cleaned etc. The reception staff are friendly and very helpful. They speak good English and will provide you with a map and directions...

Close to the Vatican City, many restaurants nearby, the cafe/coffee shop is by the traffic light, to the right as you walk out the hotel. In the same block there are banks/ATM, convenient stores. The hotel has elevator, and charming roof deck with tables and bench/chairs. We stayed for here for 3 days, the room is small but clean, has...

We spent 4 nights here from 10th to 14th October. Location was excellent just down the road from the Vatican and within walking distance to all main attractions including Pantheon and Coliseum. Nearby there were some very good restaurants. The reception staff very helpful providing a map and circling places of interest and how to get there. Was a little...

Location of the hotel is excellent: easy bus 62 access to the center of Rome, steps from Vatican, quiet. You can also walk: 30 minutes to Pantheon. Rooms are clean, there was though old carpet smell. Management and staff are super helpful and friendly. WiFi is tricky - you have to set up a static IP manually. There is a...

The hotel manager Marino was very helpful with orienting all guests as to the locations of various sites, getting online reservation tickets printed and general advice on making the most of one's limited time in Rome. The hotel room itself was adequate, with a comfortable enough bed and fully equipped bathroom. Pls be aware of the extra 10 eur charge...

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
