Positive: - close to metro and termini stations - central - cheap - room size is ok for 6 people - close to a lot of restaurants - the owner is nice and helpful Negative: - the shower is a disaster. We were 6 girls sleeping in the room and only I was brave enough to use the shower. It...

My friend booked this hotel over the internet and when we came there the guy who is running the hotel told us that he hadn't received any reservations for that night and that he has no availble rooms, after we showed him a paper on which we had printed black on white reservation for his hotel he just shook his...

My partner and I stayed here for 4 new nights over the valentine's weekend, only negative thing about it was finding the place as the address for the room we were given was correct but the actual hotel was round the corner which we found out after asking at the restaurant nearby. The breakfast was okay for us as we're...

This hotel has been nothing but trouble from the start. If only I could rate it 0 instead of 1! Firstly, when I booked I was told I'd pay 10% online and the rest on arrival (clearly stated on my invoice) they just took the whole amount straight away which left me in trouble with my overdraft and ruined a...

Conte Verde was definitely my worst "hotel" experiense ever!!! Terrible pee smell on the room, bugs walking in the shower, dirty bed, no function light in the bathroom, I could even wash my face because of the stuck water! Don't even think about going there!! Oh and the "breakfast" is one tiny butter croissant. I was literally out the whole...

Request you not to book this hotel, they keep charging all their customers again and again with the credit card details, we went in July 2013 and made a payment through my CC when we came back again they have charged on my CC of 222 euros, I had to call all over and got the amount back, now again...

This hotel is an absolute nightmare! We traveled to Rome in July 2013. It took us FOREVER to find this place. The place was fine once we found it expect that the toilet was a joke. We could hardly open the door and the shower was even worse. But that's not my problem with this hotel. We made the payment...

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!!!!! This was the most disgusting "hotel" I've ever booked. My room had/has block mold growing all the way up one wall and there's more in the bathroom above the toilet. When I pointed this out they were completely unapologetic and then admitted to knowingly book the room in this condition and put their guests health...

You get a bed, the bathroom is old and not clean. The staff did not understand english and the breakfast was just including a koffee nothing more. We also had a room without airco so it was very warm. Its near a merto station but the neighbourhood was not that good!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
