We stayed here on our first time visiting Rome and were happy. We did not expect anything fancy, but instead the experience and location and we found it! It was like staying in an apartment in a very old building in a historic part of Rome, just walking distance from a main subway station (Otaviano) and the Vatican City. The...

Requested a deluxe room as shown on the website pictures in advance of arrival. Given room 101 which had dirty walls, and sofa. Cigarette burns on the bedding and shower door fell off making it unusable. Complained to receptionist who could speak very little English and he contacted the owner at my request on 2 occasions as I was not...

We stayed in this small hotel for five nights. The room had a balcony and is situated right above the front door. It is an ideal spot to sit out on the balcony with a glass of wine and watch the people and merchants going through items in the bins below. However, if you do not like noise or crowds...

Although specifying a "late" check-in at 21h00 when making the booking and double-checking it some days before arrival, when we got to the property the hotel was closed. Closed? Yes, closed. Nobody there, nobody opening the door. After some expensive roaming phone calls and a long waiting time, the owner of another hotel nearby came to open us, this seems...

Great location, staff was friendly, and room was clean This hotel is designated a 2 star and that is what you should expect. There is no 24 hour front desk staff. Make sure you have an after hours number, we did not and were almost lock out. AC was not as cold as we are accustomed in the states however...

We visited Rome for our honeymoon. 207 inn was where we stayed for the first few nights (we stayed in a couple of hotels). We arrived late thanks to Ryanair. I knew this would cost us so wasn't surprised. However, the guy we called couldn't have been more unhelpful! He claimed we had no reservation. When he eventually showed up...

It just a short walk (less than 2 minutes) from the Otaviano metro station with street vendors lining the curb most of the way. There are several shops (around the corner) within 5 minutes where you can buy your drinks and munchies and somewhere to eat on every block. I don't recommend the cafeteria just several down but recommend the...

The Good: This hotel is very cheap, very clean and modern, and very well located, only about 2 blocks away from the Vatican Museums. Free wifi and free continental breakfast delivered to your room at a time you specify in the morning. We've got our own balcony with chairs and a table. The Bad: Our room doesn't keep the noise...

The 207 Inn is a small hotel on an upper floor of a residential and commercial building near the Vatican. The main disadvantage is the difficulty of access and check-in relative to a larger hotel; however, because the rooms are reasonably good and the location is excellent, I will stay here on my next visit to Rome. Location: The location...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
