A late getaway booking for reasonable price however rooms are very small with no tea/coffee making facilities and tablecloths for towels. Rooms occupy 2nd floor of large building with residents in flats above. Breakfast is served in reception area and can only accommodate 6 at a time for 8 rooms and is pre packed rather than fresh with no choice...

Hotel located in very good place - close to Termini (2 min walk). Staff is very friendly and helpful. Price is good for that you get. Rooms are clean. Wi-Fi works very well and fast. There is also TV, but it's very small.

We spent 3 nights and 4 days in this hotel in January 2015. Great location, just a few minutes from termini train station, where you can also take buses to fumicino airport. Staff was always very kind. They allowed us to leave our bags in the last day so we could walk around the city without carrying our bags. Breakfast...

Stayed at this hotel in August 2012 and was very happy with it. Close to the train station so you can walk from there. First impressions are not good as the place we checked in was a different location from where the room was which was across the street. The rooms were very nice, large and big bathroom. The floors...

Clean, but modest. I was disappointed to find out that there is an extra charge to get the remote from the AC. But the location is very good – close to Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore (could hear the bells form my room)

My family and I stayed here during our trip to Rome last May 2012. Upon arrival we walked from Roma Termini to the Hotel Chicago because it's only a few steps away form Rome's main station. There we met the receptionist/manager and checked-in. We were asked to pay in cash because their credit card terminal is broken but since we...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
