Had a lovely 3 night stay here in February. The b&b is in a great location close to loads of bars and restaurants all very reasonably priced. It's a short walk to the main "touristy" area of Rome with the main attractions. The room was very clean, with a small separate bathroom.

Even though this has been highlighted in previous reviews, I cannot stress enough just what a fantastic location this little place has! It is situated in the heart of Trastevere (a beautiful medieval part of Rome), just a stone throw away from all the bars and restaurants. The city centre with all its main cultural attractions is 10 minutes walk...

We stayed here as a school group. We had two triple rooms and one single room. If you are traveling in a large van it may be hard for the vehicle to get to the door as the alley ways are tight, especially at night when it is crowded with people, so just be aware. Each room had a TV,...

We had a lovely stay in this B&B. We were picked up by the owner, he gave us a great explanation about the area and city itself. The B&B is situated in the heart of Trastevere with many bars and restaurants around the corner. Ideal for a stroll in the evening. Public transport is close by and the old center...

We chose this b and b based for the value as well as the fact that the room had an ensuite...many places we looked at only had shared bathrooms. The host Lucia was very welcoming and provided us with a map and information about what to do, where to go and how to get to places which was great. The...

Basic, clean & comfy accommodation right in the bustling district of Trastevere. Easy walking distance from pretty much all of the city. Friendly & welcoming host with some good advice on what to do/ where to go. Little bit difficult to find in the dark - if arriving late Would definitely return

Awesome location, simple accommodations. Nothing pretentious, just a great room in a great location. Plenty of access to both grocery and restaurants. Centrally located and easy to walk to all important sights in Rome. Wifi was sufficient for everything we needed, public transportation available a block away. Sound dampening window in our 2nd floor apartment kept out the evening excitement...

We were looking for to stay in a non touristy area and we hit the jackpot with this place. We were walking distance to the Vatican and everywhere in the city. Trastevere has the coolest places to eat and drink. We did not have 1 bad meal throughout our trip. Everything - service, food, value and quality was so good!...

Location is perfect, and walking distance to most things, and yet in a very vibrant part of Rome. The room we had "Poeta" was however a disappointment. The air conditioning thermostat did not work, so got very cold regardless of what we set the temperature for. Also the bathroom was for skinny people. Large room but toilet on a ledge...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
