The location of this B&B is great. Not far off the tram to the rest of Rome in quaint Trastevere. The room we had was clean, comfortable and quiet. The "breakfast" leaves a little to be desired, but that is the case everywhere in Italy. All in all a very good place to stay to enjoy Rome. The owners were...

We stayed in the studio apartment on the 1st floor with private entrance. It was perfect for us. Large bathroom and modern kitchenette with charming details. Daily housekeeping and replenished continental breakfast items, which we hadn't expected. We had international phone issues, so headed straight to the apartment from the airport, via train and tram no.8. A friendly neighbor assisted...

A nice small B&B in a great location in the heart of Trastevere where there are many choices to eat and drink. And of course Rome is small so you can walk everywhere. We stayed in the Sculptore room. Small but had everything we needed. Fridge, safe, hot water and it was clean. Also good wifi connection. The only negative things...

Owners with integrity. Besides fantastic lodgings and great value for money, these owners refused to be reimbursed for the set of keys that was stolen with my daughters handbag while we were out. They came to the flat immediately to give us a new set of keys and helped us to find the police station.

This was my favorite hotel that we stayed at in Rome! So cozy and had everything we could have wanted! There was a living area with a very tasteful kitchenette and the bathroom (while a bit small) was absolutely adorable. There is a restaurant right outside of the hotel entrance, but they aren't open so late that it should disturb...

This accommodation forms part of a larger building which although strange doesn't cause any issues. in essence you are just renting the accommodation, there are no breakfast facilities other than coffee/tea.This isn't an issue as there are a number of little cafes within 200 yards whch you can use and watch the world go by. We hired a 3 bed apartment...

Clean and comfortable room in great location. Walking distance to most attractions. Great neighborhood with lots of restaurants. We did stay in the Poeta room and the noise below wasn't a bother as we closed window and turned on air conditioner when sleeping. Steep stairs were a bit of a challenge...would recommend and stay here again.

Supergood place to stay at! Location is perfect for trastevere. Nice restaurant all around, easy access to tram, easy to go to more autenthic Italian places and also easy to reach touristattractions. Good combo in other words! Clean, good aircondition-device, a small refrigerator in the room which is awesome for keeping cold drinks, yoghurt and fruit. Very friendly manager who...

We chose this B&B because it was inexpensive and was in a great location within easy reach of the centre of Rome and near to many good restaurants. We did not realise until we arrived and were met by the friendly manager who spoke very good English that it was actually a room within an apartment, but all rooms have...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
