Delightful romantic rooms, close to everything, great breakfast with nothing in a packet and GORGEOUS staff, front desk and breakfast room too. Reasonable price for luxury which is what we strive for these days !! Keep more in your pocket for the great local wines and stay here. Bicycles available in the warmer months to putter about the city center...

My husband and I loved this hotel! Once you are in the hotel, you can imagine yourself in the countryside due to the wandering walkways, beautiful gardens, and quiet even though you are only a 5 or 10 minute walk from the central piazza. It can be difficult to find if you skip the taxi and take a city bus...

Once again a Trip Advisor recommended hotel comes through in a pinch. I made the reservation five days before arrival after researching Bologna on TA; the price and location could not be beat. Finding this hotel without a GPS could be complicated but it is right on the edge of the city center and ZTL. Upon arrival the staff did...

My wife and I stayed here on a pleasure trip to Italy. We had such a great time in Bologna, a city that we had often passed over on previous trips. Th Hotel Porta San Mamolo was great. Rooms were clean and large, staff was very friendly, and the whole property had a lot of character. Downtown was just a...

After having almost devoured literally hundreds of reviews on Trip Advisor, we came to the Hotel Porta San Mamolo with high expectations. They were exceeded by a very large amount. My husband and I were not disappointed as it looked exactly like the photos on trip advisor and lived up to all the positive comments posted. Clean and spacious room reached by walking through a really pretty courtyard. Good size shower room. Breakfast was really special....

This is a very comfortable hotel, walking distance from Bologna centre, sights and shopping. Staff were very helpful with advise on things to see/do and helped us plot our route out of the city, when we picked up a car for onward travelling. Also offered to help us with parking, if we decided to come back into Bologna. Rooms were...

My husband, my 1 year old, and I were traveling in Tuscany for a week and needed a room in Bologna for a couple of nights before our departure home. I read the reviews on Tripadvisor and booked a room with a crib. Upon arriving, the hotel didn't have our crib requst, but chose a large room on for us...

Stayed one night, all too short for sightseeing or to fully enjoy this hotel. It is an excellent place to start out from to see the main sights; the welcome was good and the staff were helpful in a practical way. We slept well in a most comfortable room; the breakfast itself was superb and the setting for that meal...
