We just spent four wonderful nights at Albergo Garisenda. The spacious rooms with 15 foot high ceilings are sparkling clean. The included breakfast with a perfect cappuccino is just right to get the day started. The location is at the very center of this magnificent city and Laura and Maurizio will give you up to the minute advice on where...

Hotel is in a very central locations. It is a few steps from two towers of Bologna.Staff is helpful. They can speak English, although not fluent but they can. And they are willing to help you in anyway. Always kind. I traveled with my 6-yo with not problems. Our room did not have a private bathroom. All rooms are on...

We chose this place for its location and quirky decor and were delighted by both. Laura and Mauritzio are welcoming, helpful and lovely. The bar/ breakfast area is cosy, with a friendly atmosphere, where we exchanged travel tips with other travellers and used as a sitting area later in the day. Bedrooms round inner courtyard are very quiet and shared...

Location, location, location. Wonderful view, the room we stayed at was big and the ceilings were high- very rare in Europe. They only have six rooms so it felt like you were staying with Italian relatives but they are very friendly!!! The downside was that there was road construction on the city center of Bologna so we had to park...

We stayed here for two nights on a leisure trip through Italy. We found Bologna to be quite expensive (it was during the week and obviously a fair was taking place). The location of this little hotel convinced us to book it, even though the only room they had left had no ensuite bathroom and was relatively expensive for that....

We stayed for a couple of nights in December. Bologna is a very busy city and this is located very centrally on the third floor of a galleria above shops. A saxophonist of dubious quality unfortunately played in the entrance below and even very high up the noise of him and the crowds of people carried. The bed was not...

Albergo Garisenda has the perfect location, large and sparkling-clean rooms, excellent free wi-fi, and fabulous cappuccino at breakfast. The price for our room with private bath was extremely reasonable. We are in Bologna twice each year and stay for several days or a week. We have been staying at the Garisenda for the past 11 years. We make our room...

We stayed in Albergo Garisenda for 3 nights in May 2014. The staff were really friendly and we had a beautiful room with our own balcony. Breakfast, with coffee, was good. The location was exceptional, right outside are the Two Towers, one of which you can climb for amazing views over the city. It's a good base to explore the...

For instance I woke up 15 min late for breakfast and they still insisted to serve me some. 3- Rooms were big and very clean 4- Price is extremely good specially concerning...

This is a simple hotel with shared bathrooms. Seven of us stayed there one night at the end of August we wanted something simple, central, cheap and if possible with character. This establishment met all of those criteria hands down. Situated at the third floor of a somewhat disaffected gallery its location is odd but it creates it's charm. The...
