Cannot fault the hotel. The staff were super efficient and helpful. Our room comfortable and excellently maintained daily. The desk staff at front of hotel could not have been more pleasant and informative. Breakfast buffet good even after ten days.

We loved this hotel so much two years ago that we came back this year. The place is still gorgeous in many ways and our luxury room, complete with vaulted ceiling, mezzanine with a beautiful cantilevered glass desk, mosaic tiled bathroom and the most gorgeous golden chandelier showed a lot of design flair despite being rather small. BUT we found...

After reading several reviews we decided to take a chance strictly because of location and what appeared to be its uniqueness. We didn't regret that decision despite the rather poor breakfast selection, extremely ancient lift which each had their own charm none the less. No trouble with traffic noise, #55 but we do live on a boat in the middle...

Il Convento's supposed heritage in a converted monastery is nominally evident in the lobby, otherwise rooms are clean and completely unremarkable. Our room was decorated with a plexiglass piece of "art"; simply bizarre. Maybe (?) 3 stars, though not 4. Zero charm. Staff pleasant.

We were mislead by good reviews of this hotel and our experience could not have been more disappointing. Despite booking a junior suite, the room was small and dark (empty places on the wall where light fixtures clearly had meant to be) Worst was that it never got below 26 degrees so we sweltered all night. The shower overflowed over...

It is extremely hot in Bologna in June and probably the temperature rises in July and August, so to be comfortable in a hotel room, it is essential that the air conditioning works. I told the day time receptionist on the day I arrived about the lack of air conditioning, and when he came to inspect it he assured me...

We stayed here for three nights while visiting exhibitions and the University museums. Very well located for these and rooms were quiet and comfortable. The staff were amazing friendly and helped us with every need.

We are in a very noisy room (42) as we can hear all sounds from the apartment upstairs, the receptionist just confirmed it should be a 3 stars not a 4 stars, way too expensive for what it is, no charm, you cannot feel it was a convent at all !!! Instant coffee for breakfast... in Italy !!! Not acceptable,...

Stayed there for three nights during a scientific convention at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic institute. Friendly staff, acceptable european breakfast, and very good coffee. Placed within walking distance of both the city centre and the Rizzoli this was the perfect solution for me.

Flew to Bolgna, Ryan air and walked from railway station to this hotel. The area around initially seems a little down at heal, but inside the hotel an oasis of cool, calm. The room, just at the top of the stairs on the first floor, overlooked the courtyard, not a great view, but quiet. Small fridge, safe, tea/coffee, small supermarket...
