Very nice hotel, very good staff. Rooms have extremely high ceilings and feel very nice. Near very good restaurants and local places of interest. A free welcome glass of wine on first night went down well. Would recommend.

Stayed at Il Portici at the end of February. Hotel was clean, staff polite and helpful, breakfast ok, breakfast area very beautiful with live music from an harp. Room was very nice with hand painted wall and ceiling .

Friendly staff, good size room, everything was great. Good price, good location near to bologna centrale and city center. You can drink your wine at second floor and there is a good restaurant next to the hotel

We visited beginning of feb for 3 nights, room was lovely and very clean, however the cleaners cleaned the room and left fresh towels but never once changed the bedding as there was a tea stain id left and it was never changed, we never ate in hotel as prices are sky high, bologne in general is expensive but hotels...

We booked this hotel because it was close to town and an easy walk from the train station. Everything looked brand new. The lobby was very stylish. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the room was very interesting. I've read other less glowing reviews of this hotel, so I guess we were fortunate. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again....

We booked this hotel last minute and online. Arrived there to find this beautiful modern but also classic hotel, with excellent service, very clean, bang in the centre of Bologna & our room was so so pretty! All for €80 a night ! Highly recommend this place!

Modern, clean hotel and nice and helpful staff. Warm and very comfortable room with a candle lit at night! Very nice breakfast and great location. And special thanks to the hotel Receptionist Johnny for his friendly, helpful and professional customer service during my stay!

The hotel itself is lovely - clean, modern and very much up to 4 star standard. However, we paid 15 euros for a breakfast which was an absolute rip off. I do not know how bread, cheese and meat can justify a 15 euro price tag.

Dear Jen, thank you for your feedback about your stay at I Portici Hotel - Bologna: we are so happy reading that you enjoyed it! But what a pity that you think breakfast is expensive: every cake, the biscuits and the brioche are home made. We serve just coffee, cappuccino and orange juice freshly prepared, as well as eggs, bacon...

Spent two nights in I Portici, in January. The hotel is close to the train station and a 10 minute walk from the centre. Our room, on the ground floor, was large and pleasant, in a spartan sort of way. Breakfast was on a par with what you´d expect for a 4* Two things stop me from giving it a...

I stayed one night in this lovely hotel in Bologna and would love to return. Located a short walk from the train station and the center of town, this hotel welcomed me warmly with free coffee and pro secco and upgraded my room. The room was lovely, and breakfast was in an 18th century theatre. The price was a bargain...
