we stayed herein a double room for 6 nights in September 2011...very central hotel , lovely room but a bit on the smallish side, clean and functional...The Buffet breakfast was yummy and lots to choose from. This Hotel is great for vacationers or business people...More

Great location, just steps from all of the major sites (though not quite close enough to train station with my huge bag). Staff was amazingly nice, bent over backward to make a room available for me when I arrived early at 9 AM, had great...More
The hotel is both conveniently and inconveniently located. It is convenient for walking to many different locations in central Trieste on a nice walking street with lots of trattorias, osterias, bars, shops and gelato and about a three minute walk to the water. However, parking...More

What is the best way to get from the train station to Hotel Continentale? We are only there for one night and then catch a train to Naples? What is a must see in that short time?

We took a taxi to the hotel when we arrived at the train station and I don't remember it being more than 8-9 Euros to the Continentale. Another day when we walked around the main part of the city we walked between them and it was easy--not more than 15 minutes and flat along the seafront.
We mainly walked and looked at the architecture of the buildings. The real treat (and right in front of the sea) is the Piazza Unita dItalia

Some guests at some of the hotels in Trieste complain about slow Internet speeds. Does anyone know if this Continentale has acceptable Internet.
For Continentale staff:
What is the price for parking?
Will I be able to ask for a quiet room at the time I make a reservation?
Is there transportation to the airport? How much does it cost?
