Spent two nights here. The hotel is central, clean. Free wifi, close to the centre of town. Andrea is friendly and gives very good advice, thank you. Perfect to travel to the other four town of the cinque terre. Highly recommended

A Welcome email complete with directions from the train station to the hotel and accurate information regarding the hotel and facilities well prepared us for our visit ahead of time. Our host was extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly, providing local knowledge of hiking tracks and other notable attractions. The rooms are relatively compact, have recently been renovated and are very... More

It did seem a bit expensive however, the rates for the Island are on the higher side. The man at the reception is nice and friendly and will give you good advice. Do not go for the restaurant which gives a 10% discount recommended by the hotel. It has rude staff and food is bad. Other than that, its a... More

Andrea was a lovely and gracious host. He helped to make everything about our visit run smoothly, from checking in to providing maps and advice about restaurants and hiking the Cinque Terre. He always responded quickly to emails and provided all the information I needed prior to arriving. The room was clean and simple, with every detail considered: the water... More

Stayed at Carugio in September 2016. Very clean and comfortable room. Andrea was most helpful and made us feel welcome, he took the time to show us maps of the town and advised on the best places to visit.

We had a lovely stay, made all the better by a very welcoming host Andrea. The rooms are clean. The shower is powerful. Your location is quite central. But best of all is the personal touch of a host who is very helpful and genuinely interested in seeing that you have all the information you need about what there is... More

Small, simple place for a decent price in a great location in Monterosso. A market, post office, atm, and several restaurants very close. It's about 10-15 min from the train station. The owner, Andrea, was very kind and good to us. He offered recommendations on things to do. Overall just seemed like a warm hearted person. It's not fancy but... More

We stayed at Albergo al Carugio for two nights. We were staying in one of the smaller rooms but that was not a problem for us. The room and bathroom were both very clean. Andrea who took care of us is extremely helpful and friendly. Explained the area, gave us good information about the hiking trails, made a reservation at... More

This is my first review on TripAdvisor, and it's for the place on my trip that most deserves it. As other reviews mention, the host Andrea is simply wonderful. He takes an active interest in his guests' experiences, and truly cares about making sure people have a good stay at his hotel and in Cinque Terre. Can't recommend enough :)
