We just returned from 2 weeks in Italy where we stayed at many lovely places but hands-down our favorite was the Hotel Villa Steno in Monterosso al Mare, Italy. Of the 5 villages of Cinque Terre, we liked this one the best and we could...More
We travelled as two couples so booked adjoining rooms with a bathroom between for 3 nights. This came with a huge private terrace offering a fabulous view of the town below. It was all wonderful - clean, comfortable and with a great ambience.

Although I stayed with 12 year-old daghter and 6 year-old son in one room, considering your daughters' age, you should avoid one room. If you leave it early in the morning, they may offer coffee. Otherwise they do not offer dinner. Nevertheless, you can easily find fine restaurants near there.
On the other hand, only one-night-stay seems to be short to enjoy Chinque Terre fully.
