We stayed at one of the rooms in Old Town Monterosso. It was a room with a lot of character- a 400 year old church! The owner was very friendly and made our stay very comfortable. The room had AC which was very nice in the hot month of August. We were about a 3-5 minute walk from the beach...

Federico was great. The house was tidy. The views were absolutely amazing. I even found a cold beer in the fridge upon arriving (bonus!). I consider this place a little slice of heaven amidst the olive groves overlooking Monterosso and a bargain to boot. I definitely recommend and would go back.

This place is unbelievable. The views of the ocean and mountain side are stunning! The house sits off a windy road, high up in the hills overlooking the old village of Monterosso. It is walkable to both villages but the hills are farely steep. The house is surrounded by olive trees, grape vines and lemon trees. The deck outside the...

My husband and I went to Cinque Terre for the first time this past May. We were not familiar with the area and were hoping that everything would fall into place as we ventured down to Cinque Terra from Piza....well it did. It was the most amazing place with such beauty and treasure. We had made the reservation in advance...

with sweeping views across the coast and all 5 villages in a peaceful setting of citrus, olive groves and vineyards. The two storey "cottage" is fully equiped even down to the provision of olive oil etc for cooking. Plenty of information available including local bus and ferry timetables. B&B Ulivo lived up to every expectation. It is run by Federico and his wife and we stayed in the attick of their private home just 10-15 minutes walk from the western Monterosso centre. Federico picked us up at the train station when we arrived and drove our luggage down to the station when we left. The attick is modern,...

Travelling on our honeymoon my wife and i had the most fantastic stay at B&B Ulivo. The owners Federico and Laura were lovely people and made us feel so welcome in our cabin overlooking the cinque terra. Nestled in an olive grove above Monterosso you have complete views looking back towards the rest of the cinque terra. Our cabin was...

This place is a bit of a challenge, but we loved it; Federico will pick you up at the station and take you back - after that you're on your own, a stiff hike from downtown Monterrosso with infrequent buses possible: it's quaint, self contained, a reasonable base from which to explore the Cinque Terre, and great value if you're...
