From Milan you will most likely stop in La Spezia and have to transfer trains there. Be very careful in this train station there are lots of professional thieves here. Take the train to Cinque Terre and get off in Manarola the 2nd town. From here there is a bus you can take up to Volastra the town the hotel is in. You can catch the bus by the train station. You can ask the hotel for the train schedule. There are taxis but very few and if there is a cruise ship in you'll never get one. You can pay the bus driver or buy a bus ticket at the train station.
