This hotel is just the best. We are coming back to this place for years now and are never disappointed. The hotel is placed at the edge of the mountain with a view to die for. It is clean and the breakfast is wonderful. The...More
My perfect rating would be 4.5. The view is serene and gorgeous. Lovely hotel run by a couple. They were so kind, and even made us cappuccino in the morning when our jetlagged selves did not realize it was too late! I wouldn't always expect...More

This is a great location to start your walking in the Cinque Terre. My friend and I stayed here for 5 nights. It was initially a bit tricky to find - we were at the wrong train station, but the locals helped us out. If...More
This is a truly incredible location.Breakfast was good. I give it four instead of five stars because 1) the heating barely works and they didn't provide extra blankets in the room, 2) it is extremely hard to find and the directions the hotel provides are...More

From Milan you will most likely stop in La Spezia and have to transfer trains there. Be very careful in this train station there are lots of professional thieves here. Take the train to Cinque Terre and get off in Manarola the 2nd town. From here there is a bus you can take up to Volastra the town the hotel is in. You can catch the bus by the train station. You can ask the hotel for the train schedule. There are taxis but very few and if there is a cruise ship in you'll never get one. You can pay the bus driver or buy a bus ticket at the train station.
