Tucked in private gardens just off the old town centre, it is convenient for the sights and railway. Plenty to see and eat within a short distance - private parking bay in a side street. Arrived from Milan and my Tom Tom took me by a weird route through the mountains which was picturesque but time consuming.

This hotel is reviewed as adequate to the price by most of the travellers. I disagree with this opinion. I payed 65 euro for a small room with a minuscule "built-in" bathroom. The furniture is very old, there is dust in the corners. The toilet was not perfectly clean and the bathroom fan is so noisy that is is better...

The room which myself and my partner stayed in, was good for all intense purposes. The decor was prints and original paintings but colour co ordinatination and interior design was poor. The room had a double bed (two singles together on a double frame) it had a wardrobe with hangers inside as well. Beside the bed had matching bedside cabinets...

The rooms are very dated, with furniture that needs replacing. The bathrooms also need sorting out, although plenty of hot water. If I could suggest a simple improvement, it would be for a kettle and cups to be supplied in each room. The staff here were great, and really helpful! One of the girls who works here, speaks excellent English...

We booked two double rooms and they upgraded our shared bathroom double to one with a private bathroom. The room stunk of smoke (despite no smoking signs) and we had to air the room out during the day. The bathroom door did not lock either. We had an air conditioner that we used as it was incredibly hot in Genoa...

We got upgraded from a shared bathroom to a private bathroom but the room stunk of smoke and was noisy. No AC and bathroom door didn't lock. About a 30 min walk to the old town but could catch a bus if wanted to. Wish we had stayed another night in the Cinque Terre but the hotel was ok for...

We stayed here for a night on our way to the Cinque Terre. It is a pretty basic hotel, and we ended up in a room with a shared bathroom. It did have a minifridge though, but no AC. It was a bit noise, even though our room did not directly face the street (there is an alley/parking area on...

“Ask for a room with an outside view rather than a view of the opposite room on the other side of the hotel. If you are bothered about using a communal shower or toilet, ask for on en suite.”
