Was worried that being near the train station it would be noisy. We had a room at the back on the first floor. Not noisy at all. Standard room was small and basic but nice. Bathroom modern but small. My tall husband didn't quite fit on toilet - knees colliding with opposite wall. Bidet was a giggling experience. Lovely common...

My stay at this hotel was pretty average. They had a good breakfast, nice selection and yummy pastries. The wifi also worked well as did the air conditioning. Location is very convenient, only a short walk from the train station. The elevators were exceptionally small though, you could barely fit one person with a piece of luggage in.

Great location close to the train station to visit Cinque Terra. We had a suite which was nice after all the small rooms we're accustomed to in Italy. Not for handicapped. Though it's an elevator building, to access the breakfast area requires going up several more different flights of stairs. We were there a few days ago and their is...

The rooms are small, but the bathrooms are newish and clean. The breakfast was a really nice surprise: yogurt and muesli, bread and cheese, fruit, pastries, juices, even soy milk! We got a not-so-nice dinner tip from the reception, so maybe it's wise not to take seriously everything they recommend...

We booked a junior suite off season with breakfast for about 105E. Room was very pleasant, bathroom was modern and enormous, all the public spaces in the hotel are nice. Breakfast good. Arianna gave us excellent restaurant advice (and booked for us), a good orientation on how to do the Cinque Terre, and arranged a car service for us to...

I booked this hotel through Booking together with 7 others for this trip, several months in advance. Once arrived in Italy and only 3 days before our arrival at Cinque Terre I received a mail from this hotel informing me that our reservation had been canceled. I wrote to them immediately asking for the reason for this cancelation and that...

Dear José, we’d like to point out your reservation was made through Booking.com; for this reason we cannot write directly to our guests, because Booking.com doesn’t give the guests mail addresses; for any kind of problem, we have to contact directly Booking.com. The credit card you gave to guarantee your reservation could not be processed and Booking.com sent you an...

Stayed at this hotel for one night after arriving by train-the hotel is located less than 100 meters from the train station, which is a major advantage (some of the rooms overlook the station). Its facade is very nice and so is the reception area and the bar, yet when I entered the room I became far less enthusiastic: it's...

Great little hotel, a step away from the train station (yet very quiet). These guys were a lifesaver especially as we were left without accommodation late at night by a dishonest and fraudulent bnb. I'd highly recommend this place as a great stopover on your way to Cinque Terre. There was also a very nice large buffet style breakfast in...

The 3 star Hotel Firenze and Continentale in La Spezia dates back to the beginning of the last century and is today one of the premier luxury accommodations in this historical city that sits just at the foot of the Cinque Terre National Park. The elegant building's aristocratic feel is accentuated with quality decor, furnishings and other thoughtful complements including Carrara marble floors, Trompe l'Oeil murals, Mogano boiseries and hand beaten iron and brass lamps.A top quality 3 star hotel located in the historical city centre of La Spezia, the Hotel Firenze and Continentale is just a few short steps from the newly pedestrianized heart of the town and close to La Spezia Centrale train station, making for quick and easy connections to the Cinque Terre in a couple of minutes.Having undergone regular renovation since the first part of the 20th century, the Firenze and Continentale La Spezia is now regarded as one of the finest accommodations in the city while still maintaining the building's original architectural identity - typified by that liberty style grandeur of the pre-WWI era. ... more   less
