Very friendly staff and a location right by the lakeside in the middle of the city. The rooms towards the street have an awesome view of the lake. They have a nice garden and newly renovated pool behind the hotel as well. The breakfast is ok, but nothing special. WiFi is very slow.

The hotel is apparently in an old palace. The ceilings are very high, the foyer gracious, the staircase grand. Our room was quite large, the bathroom was clean and adequate. We had a fabulous view of the lake. There were no 'extras' - no tissues, no bottled water. The bed had dreadful blankets - 2 single bed blankets laid across...

We were looking for a place to have lunch along Lake Como. It fit the bill. We enjoyed a nice light lunch and felt no pressure to turn our table over. In fact we pretty much closed the place. We would recommend it to those looking for decent food with a great view (interrupted by the occasional car ferries).

we were fortunate to book a front room overlooking the lake right to the other side. well worth the extra cost. Beautiful view and plenty of people watching. room spacious and comfortable. staff very helpful and pleasant - breakfast plentiful also overlooking the lake. gorgeous town although very difficult to drive to, patience is required on the narrow winding road.

We stayed in this hotel for three nights half board, what a great location . Right on the lake. The room was adequate but the evening meals were pretty grim. Spaghetti was the dried type not fresh and the sauce was watery. The rest of the meal was just about passable. Stay here for the location but eat somewhere else.

Requested a room with a Lake view, which was granted at check in. Reception staff helpful - advised us about round trip boat cruise (hop on hop off) which was a highlight. In my opinion, way better than Cinque Terre.

Very surprised by this hotel. A very spacious lobby area greets you as you walk in the door. Friendly staff welcomes you and advises you of the usual things like breakfast, dinner (included in our booking). The room we had on the 2nd floor overlooked the lake and mountains. It was spacious with a immaculate bathroom. The dining room is...

Centrally located in Bellagio town (having been there now I would stay outside of the tourist centre). Clean room. Threadbare. Probably a 2 rather than 3 star hotel (pool was not in service). Breakfast was reasonable, the usual fare. Staff were helpful, making dinner reservations for us. Well priced for the area.

We booked a standard room for 2 at the Excelsior Splendid, room #43. Our standard room converted to $179/night. It was tiny and overlooked a back patio. There were 3 ets of windows (one in the bathroom and 2 in the bedroom), however they were bricked-in with glass-block walls rendering fresh air ventilation non-exisitant, with the exception of only Only...
