We spent 4 nights in this hotel. It is a classic up-market Italian lakefront hotel, quite old-fashioned in its decor. Breakfast is €25 extra and when we declined this (a very good breakfast can be had for a fraction of the price in any cafe nearby) we were told that breakfast was "compulsory". Breakfast was the usual buffet and certainly...

When you walk into the foyer of this beautiful hotel, you are taken aback by the extravagant furnishings - especially the beautiful stained-glass ceiling and over-sized planter pot full of beautiful orchids. We stayed in room 196 which is a fairly small twin room but beautifully appointed. Comfortable twin beds with large soft pillows and good wi-fi in the room....

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Dino for a tour of the lakes area end of September. The Simplon was closing for the season so our tour group was moved to the Grand Dino. The weather is perfect, beginning to turn cool. The hotel staff is extremely courteous and speaks English well. The hotel is a piece of art inside...

We stayed here at the beginning of a tour. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. It is located centrally with lots of restaurants and water transports close by. We had terrific wait staff during meals. There are many courtyards and areas to relax by pools. Free wi-fi was very dependable.

A grand hotel indeed. Stayed at this hotel for two nights while in the Italian Lakes area. The rooms have mini-bars but to access the fridge even to chill your own drinks or food you have to pay a deposit of 10Euro plus drink at least 2 drinks from the mini-bar. Hotel has two swimming pools an indoor and an...

The hotel is grandiose and old-style in a romantic way. I didn't even see the Whole hotel during my stay, but they have restaurant, bar, swimming pool, conference rooms etc. The room was old-fashioned, but nice and clean. Location was great, close to restaurants and city centre. Also close to the ferries going over to different islands.

Beautiful hotel stay here - the hotel itself is indeed grand with a rich interior and large chandeliers. The view from the restaurant is stunning, overlooking the lake. Request a lake-view room too if you can, as it is stunning to see the sun come up/go down. It is worth the additional fee. Waiting staff are very formal and trained...
