We have just returned from our trip to the Italian Lakes. We stayed seven nights at the Hotel Rigoli and were delighted with it. The setting is lovely - overlooking the lake with breakfast on the terrace a few metres from the shore when the weather was fine and lovely views from the dining room. The hotel is spotless and...

A stay here could not be faulted. Immaculately clean and marvellous views especially if you have a lakeside room with a balcony. The breakfasts were superb with a very large choice suitable for everyone, even those on a special diet! All the staff could not be more helpful whatever your requirements it was dealt with immediately and with a smile...

This is our 4th stay at The Rigoli and once again it was a joy to be there. Family run, nothing is too much trouble. The outlook could not be bettered, out of the dining room onto the terrace and there is the lake, couldn't be closer. For a 3star hotel it must be up at the top end and deserves...

We stayed last week for 4 nights. We arrived to be shown to our room and couldn't believe how close to the lake we were. With the balcony door open I could lie on the bed and hear the lapping of water from the lake. It was so relaxing. The hotel's terrace, where you can eat breakfast, leads onto a...

We felt as though we had stepped back in time to a wonderful era of holidays in a grand hotel on the water. There was an old world elegance that we got swept up in. The staff was gracious and helpful, the rooms clean, and the breakfast wonderful. We had a tiny balcony that was big enough for wine sipping...

The best features are the location and the family/staff that run the Rigoli. One must have a lakefront room as the views and experience of the changing landscape are priceless. We arrived late the first of our 4 nights and they extended the dining hour so we could enjoy a full dinner. Portions are very generous. The location is very...

We stayed at Hotel Rigoli for three nights during the last week of June. We wanted the lake view and were a tiny bit skeptical based on the price. The reviews here were good however so we went with it. We were not disappointed with any aspect of this charming hotel which we learned has been run by the same...

We chose this hotel based on the reviews and in general were really satisfied. The location is excellent, the room with lakeview is nice, though the aircondition did not work and it was very warm during the night, we did not sleep well. Breakfast was delicious, also the cappuccino was excellent. A fridge in the room would be very helpful...

The hotel is perfectly placed on the lakefront in Baveno and only 5 minutes from the centre of town. Everything is so welcoming here. The place is full of fresh flowers, including a magnificent collection of orchids and the staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Even the cats are entertaining! Although we only stayed on a B & B basis,...

We chose this hotel for its location – it has absolute lake-frontage, there is no road between the hotel and the water. We really feel that if going to the Italian Lakes, then a lakeside frontage is an essential part of the experience. Just imagine the joy of going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the gentle...
