So first of all this is not a "Grand Palace Hotel" that line the main road of Stresa. However, this is a clean, friendly family run hotel that is in a perfect location to explore Stresa and Lake Maggiore. For how much time you spend in your room this is a perfect intro to Stresa. The couple who run the...

In a great location overlooking the lake, this tired old hotel is prime for a bulldozer. Hopelessly badly run, this is a waste of great real estate. The management was incompetant overall, although the younger male tried to help. Patron did not! Room was bland, and not worthy of any stars at all! Internet is grossly inadequate, breakfast was a...

The hotel is simple and clean and a great location directly across for the terminal docs that run regular ferry services on Lake Maggiore. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. The included buffet breakfast is enough to set you up for the day. This is a great hotel that won’t break the bank with a location just as good...

Central hotel with a fabulous location, opposite the lake and near all the local shops, and main square, boat trips directly opposite the hotel. Terrible breakfast, I was actually disgusted with the breakfast that was on offer, stale cake that smelt and tasted like it had been in the cupboard for 6 months, even the butter sachets tasted stale the...

The location of this hotel is ideal being on the lake situated a two minute walk from the main square and across the road from the main ferry port from where you can get a boat to all the islands and the car park where you will need to park your car for the duration of your stay at extra...

Hotel Italie Et Suisse has an absolutely spectacular location for someone who wants to enjoy this lake town. Stresa has been attracting tourists from all over the work for many years and this hotel has been there for most of them. One step up gets you into the glass enclosed front porch dining room and the tiny lobby. The staff...

We have just spent two wonderful weeks at the family run Hotel Italie et Suisse in Stresa, Italy. The hotel was bright, spotlessly clean and right across the road from the ferry terminal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered a variety of crossants, pastries, cereal, juice, cold ham and cheese, yoghurt and fruit. Our corner room had...

This place is in the most amazing location, right opposite ferry terminal, town & carpark (although you have to pay for the carpark). Rooms are ok, nothing special, but quite comfortable. If you have luggage or mobility issues make sure that you ask for a room in the original building as the lifts only service part of the hotel and...

Lovely little family-run hotel right opposite the ferry terminal in Stresa, with the town's pedestrian area just behind, perfect for exploring the town and for access to the ferries to the Borromeo Islands and beyond. Less then 15 minutes walk to/from the railway station; the Lake Maggiore Express round trp to Locarno is to be recommended. Standard buffet breakfast and...
