We have just returned from a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Bristol (via Riviera Tours). The hotel is in a lovely spot, 10mins walk from Stresa centre and overlooking the lake. There is a lovely (but cold) outside pool with plenty of seating along with some very nice indoor lounges - there is also an indoor pool if needed....

I stayed here for a week in mid-May. When you step into the lobby you realize why it has the title "Grand"! The room I had was at the rear and west-facing with a mountain view. It was a double room with a fairly large balcony (I could see there were rooms, south-facing, with smaller balconies.) The only real problem...

Room had two balconies and was quite well equipped. The minibar was alarmed (use dot keep medicine in to be used every hour!) View was the hills behind not the lake but it meant th ebalcony had the sun in the evening. The only downside is that when it quieter or has a major event eg a wedding, then the...

The hotel facade, lobby and pool area are quite gorgeous. I only wish the rooms were as 'Grand' as the rest of the hotel. While spacious the beds were really uncomfortable. Also there are a ton of rules 'no coffee makers in the room', 'no room towels by the pool', '15e per towel for pool use' (refundable but still), no...

What a beautiful hotel. The rooms are well fitted out and spacious. Fantastic views of the lake on your doorstep. Staff are very helpful and accomodating, there was a birthday in our group and after dinner we took over the front bar. Definitely stay here again

This hotel faces Lago Maggiore at the base of the Italian Alps. It is a bit of a walk to town, but that's probably just because I was getting tired each day. The rooms are a little cramped, but oh my! The lake view are stunning. I could tolerate the tight space thanks to the view. I loved the dining...

The name says it all, a stunning traditional hotel with a huge well decorated and comfortable reception area. Rooms were good, clean and ours had a wonderful view across the lake. The free wi-fi was much better than you often get in hotels. Only downside was the restaurant which had poor staff and appalling food. I suspect that this may...

Stayed for 3nights as part of a business trip. Service was great throughout the day. Breakfast, coffee, lunch all great. Hotel itself is very fancy as are rooms. Bedroom was small, bathroom big. Had a great view of the lake. Really fantastic location.

If you like grand hotels with a view this hotel will impress with its early 20th century style although a little marred by the fact that it has become mainly a group hotel . The reception were efficient and helpful, the room was beautifully appointed with a fabulous view of the lake. The swimming pool (indoor) was rather clinical and...

Difficult to fault this Hotel and the location. Beautifully maintained, friendly staff at reception.Lovely grounds. Obviously large enough to cater for conferences and large group tours so restaurants geared up to supporting this style on mass catering. But the main dinner was served and presented in a timely manner. Good spread of Breakfast options Shame we only had a short...
