This was the perfect place to explore Milan from. Close to all the sites and public transportation Breakfast was terrific. Everyone was very helpful. Clean and quiet. Though there it was somewhat expensive, we got a good deal though Trip advisor and made it a good value for the inner city of Milan.

This was our first time to Milan; and to Italy, for that matter. The manager Luigi speaks fluent English and is very free with his advice, tips, and assistance, thank goodness! Luigi helped us to successfully get our Expo 2015 tickets, with advice and a printed letter, after our stalled attempt to purchase them online. He guided us with maps...

The owner, Luigi, is friendly, accommodating and has great tourist tips. The location is unbeatable as it's in the heart of the nightlife area but only a short walk to the main tourist sights. The rooms are comfortable, quiet, and well-equipped. This hotel offers excellent value for money and we would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is situated really well for Milan. It's close to canal street for great late night dining, and close by public transportation to take you into the heart of Milan. It's a small boutique-style hotel located inside a building, which is quite charming- there is an indoor garden in the middle of the building. The rooms are very spacious...

Luigi is the owner and a wonderful host. Attention is paid to detail, which really makes a big and positive difference. From flowers in the bathroom to a nice basket of fruit to a water cooler in the room, the extras make the guest experience a cut above. My husband and I selected the triple which was very spacious. Bedding...

Found this hotel last minute. The triple was more like a 2 bedroom apartment. The master had a bed similar to an American bed as opposed to 2 beds pushed together which is very common in Europe. Was greeted with cold drinks. Refrigerator was stocked with drinks as well free of charge. Had a fruit basket also free of charge.if...

Residence Aramis is the heart of Navigli-2 minute walk to the bars and restaurants by the canal, 5-10 minute walk from the metro unless you get waylaid by the gelato shops. :) terrific boutiques and book stores. 15-20 minute walk from the Duomo. Luigi is an incredibly kind host and very generous with his time and advice. I was very...

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
