I missed the last train so I ended up at the Boston hotel past midnight. The staff was very kind, excellent Italian breakfast and good coffee. The room itself was rather old, the floor and the walls were stained but then again the shower was brand new and the sheets and bathroom were clean. Rather expensive for what you get...

We booked this hotel for 3 nights at the start and 1 night at the end of our family holiday. The booking was stated to be at a special non-refundable rate - if it had not been we would certainly have cancelled the whole booking when we first arrived and saw the dirty rooms and inadequate facilities. Particularly shocking was...

My partner and I found ourselves stranded in Milan (thanks Ryan Air!) and wanted a cheap place to stay as we were already losing a nights stay in a nice hotel we'd booked in Bormio. We compared a few prices and took this room at 70 euro. We aren't fussy people at all, especially when tired and needing somewhere to...

We arrived in town for two nights in late April 205 with no hotel booked to discover that it was Design Week, the busiest of the year. The train station tourist info sent us to a travel agency in the same building but entered from outside. The offer there was for something at 325 euros/night. We walked to this hotel...

If you're looking for a cheap spot then you'll be served. We had to stay there for less than 10 hours cause we we're checking out at 1 am because of our shuttle to malpensa. The best thing about it is the location easily 5 minutes on foot to the centrale station.

For a quick stay, it's not bad. But very spartian. The rooms look like hospital rooms, the TV worked well, the place was fairly clean - but I've seen better. The area at night time is not great if you want to return late. Convenient for the Station, but the new staff is not exactly what you would call multilingual....

I really can't offer a view that reflects what others may find since my own expeiece was a very personal thing. We had been booked into a hotel justdown from this one but I had got the dates wrong so had to find another hotel for the first night. The Boston was right next door to our booked one so...

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
