The hotel is okay, the location is great. The staff was terrible, not nice with the guests. The breakfast was awesome, with fresh fruits and a lot of options. The room was good as well - the problem is that they have a floor not accessible by the elevator. I had to argue with the staff so then I could...

This hotel is great value - we paid approx. £500 for 4 nights. The location is really central and the hotel is clean and rooms are a good size considering the central location. However, the breakfast was very poor, no bottles of water in the room and room service menu was very limited. The service on the reception was mixed...

PROs: elegant, kind staff, small but not tiny sized, located close to the Design week site of via Tortona, the Navigli, Sant'Ambrogio end at reasonable walking distance from the Duomo. Fine room, even nicer bathroom full of amenities. Corso Genova is next door -including the special Boutique Biffi. Excellent sleeping quality and soundproofing. CONs: probably there isn't the grandeur you'd...

(Italian below) We recently needed a venue for a gathering of friends: one that included a piano. Hotel Pierre turned out to be the perfect spot. Over 14 people in our group stayed at the hotel and everyone was very pleased. The staff were friendly, helpful,, and spoke English, which was important for our group. We had a buffet lunch...

Large, elegant rooms! XL bathroom! Very nice breakfast (very Italian too). Close to the Duomo (8 min walk) and to the Navigli! The distance is as long as you need in order to create an appetite for the many restaurants at the Navigli!

Very spacious room with antique furniture. Room service was restaurant standard and the barman makes great cocktails. Check in was quick and location is quiet just outside city centre (15 minute walk). The hotel does not have any 5 star amenities like a gym, pool or garden but makes up for it with historical atmosphere.

I stayed two nights. The room is very small, and the window doesn't open. Weird devices to turn up the lights. The beakfast was good, pain au chocolats and croissants fresh and warm. Not a very friendly staff. But very well located and practical.

I stayed for one night at the hotel that is very well situated close to the centre. Didn't have a bad stay but can't say it was exceptionnal either, from a 5 star place I would have expected more. The staff is polite but I got the feeling that there where a bit indifferent about their guests... Only when checking...

This hotel is charming. It's not slap bang in central Milan but has great transport links with buses, trams and the metro nearby. The room was a decent size (we had three people in our room) with a charming feel to it. We went to Milan to celebrate a friend's birthday and the hotel left us a bottle of fizz...

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
