Booked this hotel using the wotif mystery hotel deal and when I found out the name and read the reviews which were not great I was a little nervous. But the hotel was lovely, our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Bathroom a little small but good. The reception area had an air of faded grandeur which gave the...

We were very disappointed. The hotel is very old and really noisy. We barely managed to sleep with all the noise from the street, but also from the other guests in the hotel as the room had very thin walls and we heard everything, from people in the toilet in the room next to us to people in the corridor....

The location was perfect for us as it was quite close to Piazza Cadorna with direct connection to airport Malpensa. As we only stayed one night and for a restricted time in Milan, location was most important to us. Impressive Chiesa Maurizio next to hotel, other sights as Santa Maria della Grazie and Duomo also in walking distance. Facilities and...

The location is great, by a metro stop and some good restaurants. The shower didn't have temperature control though and it fluctuated between very cold and too hot. Bed was not comfortable and walls were very thin (perhaps I should blame the guests next door for their excessive love making). Breakfast was a disappointment although you could get a fresh...

We were in Milan for a few days seeing the sights, and could not have stayed at better location or more comfortable hotel for the price. Great restaurants and shopping around the corner. Amazing archeological museum next door. The hotel was immaculately kept, and the staff were outstanding. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Italy over...

Dirty bedroom, sticky carpet, wallpaper falling off the walls and terribly rude staff. Really surprised this place even have any stars at all to be honest, it is by far the worse hotel I've ever seen.

The hotel is set in a beautiful building, very well located at a walking distance to almost every main city attraction. Rooms are small but well equipped (tv has Italian channels) and if you're lucky you'll get a nice view. Overall, I'll say it's ok, but a bit expensive maybe for what it has to offer. Also, before leaving you're...

I booked this hotel for 2 nights through a Last Minute secret deal. So when I discovered which hotel we were staying at, and read the reviews, I was disappointed and downright scared. But was it really that bad? Not at all. I felt I got a good price for the hotel and was happy with the room based on...

We initially chose this place because it was advertised as having a shuttle service to the airport. Unfortunately after we checked in, we found that the shuttle service would cost us 100 Euro. The building has a distinctly french charm with a variety of unique features that blend together to give you a vibe that lands somewhere between The Grand...

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
