I found this hotel in Eexpedia 4 months ago and i booked a double room for less that 100$/day. As soon as we arrived we found out that this hotel was 4*. They gave us a very big room on the 7th floor, which had a very comfortable and clean bathroom (they even had ETRO cosmetics). The breakfast was far...

I selected this hotel after reading reviews here, they were so right! What an excellent stay and very good value on our internet deal. All the staff were so lovely and did everything they could to help. The service was 5 star in a 4 star hotel. Our room was huge, clean and well appointed. Breakfast was the best I've...

We stayed for one night only while passing through Milan; the family suite was wonderful, extremely spacious, with luxurious bathroom (and an extra separate toilet room), nice bed, plenty of room for children's beds... The internet rate (hotels-direct) was great value, sumptuous breakfast included. The hotel surroundings are not picturesques but it is very well located for the centre. Great...

I loved the Grand Hotel Verdi. The people who worked there were the nicest people we met on our trip to Italy. Our room was fantastic. It was huge, with a walk in closet, a banquet and table, desk, and sofa. It was less than a 10 minute walk to the subway. The bathroom was great with a deep tub,...

Excellent hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is about 7 minutes walk from the metro, 3 min. walk from Corso Como, 15 min. walk form the best place in Milan, i.e. BRERA, 20 min. walk from Monte Napoleone (...), and 30 min from Duomo. We had a really nice room , which was huge, very clean, air...

Stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend from December 30th to Jan 2nd 2006. Took about 20 minutes from Linate Airport, and location is very nice. From the 6th floor you can see the Alps in the distance. Hotel location, for us was ideal, away from all the crowds yet 15-20 minute walking distance to the Scala and Duomo. Very...

We were very happy with this hotel! We booked a triple room for our girlie shopping weekend - and found the room to be very spacious and comfortable. If a decent shower is important to you then you'll not be disappointed - the water pressure was perfect!!! The hotel staff were very friendly and recommended & booked us a restaurant...

Usually difficult and demanding with hotels, I spent weeks on choosing a hotel for a romantic week-end in Milan and finally picked GHV, even though it supposed to be further from the centre than some other (equally good) hotels. The reason for it was its specific decoration inspired by Verdi's opera - and I was thinking, once you are in...

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
