Hotel is slightly dated but has a quirky feel. Staff were so helpful and made sure we had what we wanted. The location is great and near to many attractions. Free (small) buffet breakfast. Overall pleasant stay for the price.

The room and cleanliness was great, the location fine, the breakfast good and the lady serving it very hospitable. The first disappointment was the lack or very weak wifi signal in the room... A booster costs so little to install! The second even more serious disappointment was the behaviour of most reception staff... A smile and good manners costs nothing... More

All hotels in Milan was fully booked, last minute I find this hotel. The hotel is nice with big room , bath water in the shower was cold and a lot of noise from the train past by. I recommend only if the budget is low

Very small room and cold ambiance. The breakfast is poor, except for the pies that are good. To have shower is a big exercise. Value for money not bad, but there are better places. The guy in the reception could not speak English. The tv was half broken, so really disappointing.

Warm welcome and very comfortable rooms. Decent aircon and bathroom. Decor has lots of beautiful touches...I particularly fell in love with the ceiling lights in the hallway on the fourth floor. Little minibar in room which held bottled water - still and sparkling. Free wifi (get the code from reception). We arrived past 11 in the evening and had checked... More

in Milan for the Expo events I went back to Hotel San Guido where my beloved dog is more than welcome. Hotel San Guido represents the warmth of a home where the kindness of the staff makes your stay pleasant and relaxed. The decoration is rather unique every piece of furniture has been carefully chosen with great taste and attention.... More

I can agree with most reviewers that this hotel has special touch, especially when it comes to lobby which is filled with antique pieces and calm energy. On the other side, room only suggest what is the idea behind this hotel, they are not in good shape, too dark, mix of fine vintage and cheap furniture and bathroom was really... More

Room facing the back on the 2nd or 4th floor we found were better than the dark small twin room on the lower floor - spotlessly clean - good nights sleep - hotel in the traditional Italian style - used for a stop over on the way to Florence - good easy walk from the Station - trams stop right... Stayed here during a conference on a recommendation of someone who lived in the area. Good value. Okay location. Easy to get around on the tram. The staff are not particularly that friendly although that may be a language issue. Clean. The shared areas are quite shabby and small but again, we didn't pay too much.

Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
