This hotel was great for us, with just a short walk to the cathedral. What made this hotel so recommendable was the friendliness of the staff. We had a very noisy neighbour, when we reported this to reception they handled it really well and had...More

I've been staying here since 2010, at least once a year, when I come to a performance at La Scala which is a very short walk away. It's comfortable, clean, very competitively priced, and with great customer service. During my latest trip I mentioned at...More
Very nice hotel near opera La Scala and Duomo. On a quiet street so it was easy to sleep. Breakfast very good too. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There were umbrellas for guests in case of a sudden summer storm.
Excellent location! Few minutes walk to pick up location for Viator (handled by Zani Viaggi tours) which is nice for the 06:45 departure times for Bernina Express and Cinque Terre trips. Also close to metro lines and easy walk to Cadorna for the Malpensa Express...More

The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the
view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

Linate is closer and you can take the bus #73 from airport that drops you off on Via Dante right near the San Bablia metro stop. You can walk to Hotel Star from there, probably a 15 minute walk dragging suitcases, 10 mins without. Or take metro 2 stops. Don't know about cab, since bus was so cheap.
