I have just returned home after spending a lovely few days with friends in Milan. All the staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly. We were especially grateful to the staff for their recommendations on the local restaurant's. Every time we asked for their help the restaurants they recommended were of exceptional high standards. The staff created and home...

We stayed at Hotel Lancaster from Oct. 8 through Oct. 11. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would stay again. The hotel is a very nice building with plenty of charm--marble floors, heavy wood furniture in the rooms and elegant furnishings. Filippo, the hotel owner, and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke English. We had...

We stayed overnight at this hotel recently on our way to lake Como and were pleasantly surprised. Very well priced with a large bedroom and huge bathroom very well appointed. Staff were so welcoming such a change as we had just come from Paris where hotel and staff were shocking. Recommendations for restaurants close by proved excellent. We were only...

I can't say enough about this place--the room was spacious, the bathroom too, with high ceilings and complete quiet. Most of all, the staff did their best to see that you enjoy your stay. Breakfast was the usual hotel fare, just fine. One problem: it is not near a Metro stop but the 61 bus stops nearby. We found cheap...

This is a nice, we'll run hotel in a convenient location in Milan. The rooms are quite comfortable, well appointed, and immaculate. The staff was very professional, fluent in English, and helpful in providing advice about tourist activities and arranging taxi service. The breakfast (included) offered a nice variety of foods and a really good cappuccino. The hotel is located...

Enjoyed my stay here. The staff were friendly - room was good clean with plenty of hot water. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and fresh. Very convenient location for "Cook in Milano". It is maybe not the most central of hotels, but you can get the tram 27 if you don't fancy the walk into town.

There are a lot of expensive hotels in Milan, avoiding them isn't easy, particularly if you're a little risk averse. The hotel Lancaster is a great alternative. It's not near an underground station, but trams run close. However, the hotel is located right at the Sempione park, a beautiful stroll through it and the Castello Sforzesco lands you in the...

It is indeed a good location. 10 mins walk to the rail link to the airport. convenient to a tram in case yr bag is heavy. 15 minutes to the Castle - another 10 to Duomo and 10 more to La Scala. Staff is friendly, efficient and fluent in English. And the bartender makes a nice spritzer. But all of...

Dear Mrs. Gevirtz, thank you for having stayed at the Lancaster Hotel and for your review. As for the inconvenience that you have suffered (temporary failure and stop of the lift) we can only apologize even through Trip Advisor (as we did personally at the time of the incident). As you mentioned, we have tried to relieve the discomfort of...

Took a tour that covered Northern Italy. Tour started and ended in Milan, but oddly enough spent no time in Milan. We extended our vacation two days on our own to view the Last Supper.... .
