This hotel is so central, any closer and you could sleep in the Duomo or in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. The entrance is surrounded by goldplated walls and at the reception an unexpected cold welcome: the booked price is 100 dollars more expensive even if we have the confirmation to prove it. It's hot and we are tired from the...

Perfect example of how a good hotel should be!!! I appreciated the GYM and the rooms are extremely quiet, even if my windows and balcon were on the Duomo of Milan side. Rooms are perfect designed and very comfortable (massaging chair was the cherry on top).... ;) Excellent breakfast in a charming light dining room. Both the hotel and the...

This is a perfectly located hotel to explore the historic centre of Milan. Decor is quirky and will not be to eeveryone's taste, but our room was very comfortable and quiet- we overlooked the courtyard. Black features greatly in the bedrooms to the extent that we couldn't find the black light switches against the black furniture! Staff were very helpful...

Loved this Hotel for the Location, Staff and Complimentary breakfasts. .At first I was disappointed in the décor as it was very dark dreary and tired looking...an industrial feel...all Black! But after all the plusses I would definitely come back here and recommend it to friends.I was literally steps from the Duomo and felt safe to walk around late at...

I got the hotel through Priceline . And i would definitely come back . Room size is very good for an Italian hotel . Unfortunately if you need a king they willl provide you 2 doubles and put them together ( which is common in Italy ) but that was not too much of an issue . Room and bathroom...

Stayed here for 3 days - great location - literally steps from duomo. I would definately stay at this hotel again and recommend to friends and family. The room was very modern but spotlessly clean/ bathroom was great/ more space than I expected. Staff were helpful (e.g. Ordered iron and had it within 5 mins). The only slight disappointment was...

Christmas in Milan is great and my stay at The Straf was excellent! The staff, especially Amanda, was very helpful. I arrived on an early flight and they allowed me to check-in early, that was a huge relief considering I had luggage. The breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect - right next to the Duomo Cathedral, La Rinascente,...

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
