Stayed here for 4 nights in room 12(?).

I had arrived from an overnight train from Vienna and got to the hostel too early for check-in Arriving too early for check-in is fairly normal and usually, the staff are still friendly. The guy on desk in the morning was right up there with the most soured faced reception staff I’ve ever encountered, but it was fine to leave my bags at the hostel and wash up in the bathroom.

The check-in process was fairly simple thereafter as I’d already booked and paid online. The staff then showed me to the bottom of the stairs leading to the rooms and just told me to go to the top. There’s two flights of steep stairs to my dorm and there’s no lifts. I fit and healthy, but even I found it annoying having to climb up and down those stairs several times a day.

The room was a four bed dorm with two bunk beds. I guess the bunk allocated to me as it was the only one not made up had fresh sheets on it. One sheet for the mattress, one for the pillow case and one thin sheet in lieu of a duvet for the blanket. The bunk came with a private light and one electrical socket. The bed frame was one of those metal frame varieties that shook a bit whenever someone moved, but luckily my bunkmates were restful sleepers and I got a good night's sleep every night. Each guest also has one locker which was big and tall enough to hold even a large backpack.

The room had an ensuite bathroom with the usual basin, 2 toilets and a shower. Everything worked perfectly and the bathroom was cleaned everyday.

Breakfast is served every morning and I think is free for everyone. By hostels standards, the breakfast is decent consisting of various breads, cereals etc. There’s also a coffee and juice machines. Pretty good breakfast considering the price paid and being in an expensive city.

The hostel offers free Wifi, which I’m happy to say worked well.

Location wise, the hostel is about 10 minutes walk to the nearest metro station, which is only a few stops into the centre of Milan, where most of the attractions are. The hostel is around a mainly residential area and there’s also plenty of supermarkets, cafes and restaurants around. The supermarket is pretty useful for bringing back food to cook in the hostel kitchen. The hostel has I think two fridges to store stuff. I cooked there pretty much every night of the stay and everything you need to cook and eat is provided.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The facilities in the hostel are pretty good and everything on offer was very good for the price. There’s lots of lounge/chill out areas to sit and relax so that you don’t need to sit in your room during down time.

Close to a sub-train station instead of the main station- not too bad.
Hostel seems pretty cool, room was pretty spacious (we booked private en-suite), just not too happy with the staff.
We arrived somewhere around lunch time. Couple of staff were like eating and chatting behind the front desk. No one approach us but we didn’t bother much since they were eating. After awhile a guy told us this is ther lunch time and we can’t check in until certain time, and left us again.
I understand this is you guys lunch time and don’t want to serve anyone, but can you guys please off to staff rest-are/ pantry, instead of a group of people just eating and chatting behind the front desk and ignore the guests? Well, can’t expect much since this is just a hostel and not a hotel, but still :)

PS: might not suitable for those who needs to catch early train to different city. The nearest train station exit doesn’t open until a time (sorry I forgot), which we basically have to walk to the main entrance of the train station which was a bit of walk, and the whole street was basically empty along the way!

The hostel is located relatively far outside the city center, but there are public transport options to get there and back. I recommend getting a day ticket for this purpose. The rooms themselves were decent, but the bathrooms could've used a cleaning. The room also provides lockers, but you need your own lock. Breakfast is offered and it was very good; they even have a coffee machine to make different beverages. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

This is the worst place to stay in winter. The heater has a central timer which is off most of the time. The person on duty said it was set that way. It turns off automatically at midnite. Turns on at 6 and switches off again at 9. Our room which is a private room for 2 unfortunately has a draft of wind which I guess comes from the ceiling where the window is. I tried to ask them to cover it but they gave only promises to check on it. I would like to think myself a reasonable person. For the price I paid, I would not ask for too much. But heater off in the dead of winter I think is too much.

I never actually stayed at this hostel but was hoping to, until I tried to contact them.

Apparently their latest check in is 8pm which is ridiculous. To try and confirm this, I had to email (no response), and then ask on Facebook messenger (no response except to give me their phone number - followed by a blunt “No” to my asking if check in was possible after 8).

Bad from the jump, no basic customer service. From other reviews it sounds like this place is best avoided…

When I arrived, they told me they gave away my room to someone else.
Most likely because they could get a better price, on the other side they also tried to keep my downpayment, because I "cancelled" it the evening before,. Eventualy I got the downpayment back via the booking agency, but without compensation for the higher prices (nearly double) of the alternative place to stay and the loss of half a day of my holiday

I arrived at 10 pm to be met by a rude receptionist telling me to wait for check in time at 2 (which is acceptable). As it was 2 pm I went to check in but he rudely told me to wait as he was busy, which I contested since I already waited for 4 hours. You had to pay extra charges other than the agreed upon price (city tax + other tax). other Staff members were okay apart from the first rude guy. Bar closes early. Location is terrible.
Overall I hated the place and I would definitely not recommend this place

We are two German girls and we booked two beds in a mixed room, but when we arrived at the hostel we were not allowed to check in because they told us we had to go in a female room and all female rooms were overcrowded. So we had to leave and go home.

They couldn’t find my reservation, long check-in, even though I booked two nights I was told I had to change rooms after first night, COLD room, only 1 working outlet hidden behind on of the bed, broken heater/AC, no shower door so bathroom always flooded, placed on top floor in one bedroom shared apartment (confirmed by other apartment tenants) that had 3 beds crammed inside, no elevator, breakfast ends early at 9:30am and I immediately got mild food poisoning literally right after eating it, top bunk had no ladder which had to be installed, bunk also had no guard rail which I woke up at the edge to see I was about to fall off, wifi DOES NOT WORK, lumpy pillow, no lockers, you have to buzz to get in which is extremely annoying when you’re in a rush and no one is at the desk to let you in… I could go on forever

The actual dorms are nothing like this. Larger, soap, well-stocked, wi-fi works, outlets, etc. I switched rooms after the first night (like I was told) but they tried to get me to stay in the same room. I became annoyed and asked to get what I paid for and was actually placed in a normal dorm room. The room was nice, but after the terrible first night, it dampened my stay in Milan.

The hostel is available with a sensible price. Everything is good and there is nothing to be unsatisfied with. The place is in 4 to 5 minutes from the Metro, as well as Train 🚂 station which is not far from the subway.

Cuando yo fui llegué a las 11:00, pero solo dejé mis cosas, no pude hacer check in. Y cuando salí fue al medio día, dejé mis cosas y regresé por ellas a las 18:00 hrs sin costo extra. Son muy flexibles.
